NA-122: Ayaz’s nomination papers accepted

ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday accepted nomination papers of former speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for by-elections in NA-122.


According to reports, the ECP rejected all objections raised by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Ayaz Sadiq’s candidature. Ayaz was de-seated by an election tribunal over election irregularities in his constituency during 2013 general elections.


The tribunal ordered reelection that is going to be held on Oct 11. Another seat was vacated by the ruling party when its sitting MNA – Siddique Baloch – was disqualified by an election tribunal for possessing fake degree.


The ECP is going to hold reelection in his constituency NA-154 Lodhran on October 11.

You are right, It does not make any sense. If there were irregularities in the election, then who is the culprit? No one is being held accountable and the one who is the prime suspect gets another chance to commit the same crime?
If there is a crime committed, then someone has to go to jail!

PTI's tube again busted. The righteous judge failed miserably in fixing anyone's responsibility and played to PTI's favor. No chance for PTI to make a run away now.

Irregularities miraculously benefitted N League in almost every constituency, and RO's just by accident managed to cast 20-25k unverifiable votes in favour of N League Candidates.

Probably the 54% of unvarified votes in na 19 despite usage of biometric system was also a manipulated incident
