So after dreaming to visit the Roof of the world ... and the Crown Jewel of Pakistan (as is written on every other rock of GB-- graffiti)...

Without any proper plan i took the trip.

From Karachi > Lahore > Murree---> Naran (night stay) > Gilgit > Hunza > Attabad> (back to Gilgit)> Skardu > Deosai> Astore> Rama

And back.

It was a 10 day trip...

Here are a few pics...

Okay so the pics arent sexy or awesome... but i took em while driving and i aint really a photographer.. so deal with it lol.

Roads are fantastic for a mountain region.

Cheers, Doc
In most of the Pakistan main roads are very good due to N.S personal interest in building roads.

Babu Sar Top... i enjoyed crusing that! Sexy view... but as-usual... being polluted by azzhole tourists!

Sir if this was not mobile and camera then you should have use higher ISO setting, since your low light pictures are grainy and colorless.

Not just talking of this thread.

There is a thread of ghazi as well of two lahoris cycling there. I noticed it there first.

I am aware that Chinese companies are responsible for most of the construction there.

And it's fairly recent, by the colour of the tarmac.

Cheers, Doc

KKH is a treat to drive on.

But the road to Skardu is hellish... it took me 6 hours to cover a mere 145-50 km... its planned to be built... so hopefully soon .

Once you reach Skardu. The roads are A- one.. unfortunately i couldnt cover other valleys and places due to shortage of time...

I missed Khaplu Fort,Mankhota? Waterfalls,Nalter,Domail,Ansu,Minimerg,Allah Hu,Chillium,Hoper and other wonderful places... (Inshallah in future).

Nor could i taste the notorious Hunza Water aka Wine! Due to the "Presence" of the "Wife"

He he

Heard a lot about the water too.

On my honeymoon, stepped off the bus with wife in kodaikanal.

And a slimy guy sidles up and asks me (loud enough for half the bus to hear) whether I wanted some magic mushrooms.

So it's all good.

Cheers, Doc

Don't try this even you are alone, It was years back when friend in Pakistan brought it from G.B, I drank full glass I was not aware it was alcoholic drink, last thing i remember I was sitting on roof top the next morning I found myself in front of our home sleeping on doorsteps and around people gathered there to check I am alive or dead and I have no memory at all what happen during the night.
