Ahmedabad: A saffron outfit in Gujarat's Mandvi area in Kutch, 'Hindu Sangathan Yuva Morcha' has issued a diktat not to allow Muslims in Garba events during Navratri festival
According to a report published in 'Times of India', the group which is said to have close ties with Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), has announced that Hindus who wish to participate in the Garba events will have to apply 'tilak' on their forehead and sprinkle cow urine on their body.

Hindu Sangathan Yuva Morcha president Raghuvirsinh Jadeja said his associates will keep a strict vigil across Garba venues in Mandvi area.

Local Muslim leader Azam Angadia said other members of the community are expected to meet soon and take a decision on the order.

Meanwhile, the newspaper quoted a BJP leader saying that such decree are in poor taste. “There are many Hindus here who keep roza during Ramzan and Muslims join them with fervour in Ganesh Chaturthi,” he said.

Last year, firebrand VHP leader Pravin Togadia had announced that Muslims must not be allowed inside the Garbha events and insisted identity cards of each and every person be checked for participation in the event.

“Navratri is the festival of Mother Amba's prayers and worship, so we cannot allow beef-eating Muslims to enter into Garba places," Togadia had said.

They are right, by the looks of it is some sort of religious festival, so if they are not comfortable with Muslims attending it, Muslims should mind their own business then. Simple.

Neither of you has any real idea but just posting, right?

Garba is Make Out Central in Indian cities.

Hormones are through the roof.

I'm afraid the fingers of both hands and toes of both feet would be insufficient to count the number of times I've gotten lucky in this season.

Acting the ignorant Parsi with zero idea of the moves always seemed to bring out the best in the chicks .....

No bro. Pune (and on occasion, Mumbai) were my happy hunting grounds.

I've seen the hardcore ones in Gujarat too. In Vapi. Its much more traditional there of course.

In Pune, the costumes are ..... sizzling.

The female back is positively a very sexy body part.

Seriously some people have gone crazy with there dikats and that last thing we want.

If garbha is played with the spirit of worship of god on devotional music, then why do you want to stop someone from worshiping your god. Unless your believe that GOD is not universal and a private property of yours or your community.

And if its not played with spirit of worship but as a event to have fun like it happens in most of the places then why are you worried about religion.

The whole essence of festival like Garbha comes from the fact that it unites people to enjoy under one umberala without any difference to dance, celebrate and have fun.

.
Their religion their rules nothing wrong with that. Muslim should refrain themself from these festivals.

I said what I felt like, and nothing stopped me from posting. And I am not interested in what it is, my post was simply a straight forward statement, if somebody from another faith is not comfortable with my presence in a festival that is most probably his religious festival, then why should I insist on staying there? And that too when they are talking about sprinkling cow urine on participants.

.
Its probably the only traditional dance in India (popular, across the country - not only regional) where parents do not / cannot frown on their girls decking up and going out to dance with boys.

I think the sticks have some aphrodisiac effect as well.

Man I am feeling old .....

Because you have zero idea about what this is about. I felt like saying it too, because its patently obvious.

We are not discussing about my idea by the way. If you are so interested in letting people know what it is then most probably you should talk to people who issued this Diktat, may be they are the ones who really need to know what it is.

Stop dialing the damn wrong number man  am I the target these days or what :D
