Muslim privates swear allegiance to IDF
The March 2016 cycle of Desert Reconnaissance Battalion soldiers were sworn in on Thursday, consisting largely of Muslim Bedouins, along with some Christian and Muslim Arabs, all of who volunteered for army service; 'I understood how important it was to give and do my part for the country in which I was born, that I live my life in, and that I'm proud of.'

The swearing-in ceremony for the March 2016 cycle of Desert Reconnaissance Battalion soldiers was held on Thursday at the Memorial Monument to the Bedouin Warriors with the majority of the sworn-in soldiers being Muslim. Before their commanders and families, the soldiers, mostly Bedouins with some Muslim and Christian Arabs who volunteered to join the IDF, swore allegiance to the State of Israel and its defense.

The swearing-in ceremony took place three months after the beginning of the training course, eventually becoming full-fledged infantry soldiers.

One of the soldiers who took part in the ceremony was 20-year-old Private Suliman el-Magnun, a resident of the Al-Fura village in the Bedouin area of the Negev. El-Magnun enlisted following his two brothers and a cousin's volunteering for the IDF as well. One of his brothers served in Golani and the other as a tracker. His cousin was in the Ordnance Corps.

"When we swore allegiance to the state, I did it with all my heart," said the excited private. "I understood how important it was to give and do my part for the country in which I was born, that I live my life in, and that I'm proud of."

Hope they will not turn their guns to their own military bosses after seeing brute force against unarmed Palestinians.
Do you really think they would have enlisted if they weren't confident in Israel's justice? They can see for themselves that most of the world's media coverage of Israel is garbage because they live it.

"Who knows?" People who "know" are those who bother to objectively research the facts rather than approach everything through the tinted glasses of prejudice.

Israeli / Jew always come with new ideas to kill the enemy by enemy this time they want Muslim youth against Muslim which I highly doubt this idea could work. Just wait and watch.
No need. There are Bedouin who have loyally served in the IDF for generations:

‘Tell me, have you seen the pictures?’ she sings. ‘Tell me, have you heard the news? And still you want to serve? How can you raise your weapon at your brother?’

Mohammed Ka’abiya, a Bedouin veteran who served in Israel's helicopter division, said that he speaks for the majority of the Bedouin when he dismisses this criticism.

‘I didn't fight against Arab people. I was fighting against terror organisations because I don't want the Arab people to be injured or killed,’ he told MailOnline.

'Arabs are victims of the terrorist organisations.

‘Some people call us traitors, but Israel is a democracy where all cultures and colours have the same rights. The ones who refuse to serve are the real traitors.’ [Solomon2 note: For non-Jews, enlistment in the IDF is voluntary.]

link. (Go on, click the link, the story has pointers about hidden roadside bombs and IEDs.)

. .
20% Israelis are muslims, so why not ?

@Solomon2
Good for you to stay in delusion.
It's important to remember that a person with a delusion is one who holds firmly and unquestioningly to their belief regardless of evidence to the contrary. "Evidence" consists the relevant set of facts, not beliefs, popular opinions, or empty speculations.

@salarsikander @jamal18 @M.Musa @Max @war&peace @Killuminati420 @Indus Falcon @Malik Abdullah @Sipahi

"Majnun" is pronounced as "Magnun"in the egyptian dialect e.g. Jamal Abdul Nasser became, Gamal Abdul Nasser i.e. J = G

Now on google translate, English to Arabic, enter MAD and see what pops up!

Yes Sir, I'm aware of the difference between shajar and shagar i.e. Khaleeji vs Egyptian accent.
As far as the post is concerned, this shows his stupidity of at an epic level without any care for facts because they get paid for doing this propaganda and all he needs to type rubbish and post it and collect the cheque. I never believe his crap and I think it is better to ignore him. I see him creating threads and those are very provocative and full of lies but normally I ignore them and never want to be the first to comment on his thread as that opens up the discussion. The best will be if the mods and TTAs take care of him but for some unknown reasons they ignore him and he gets away with extremely provocative and fabricated stories..

Why is this news such a big deal? Is it not obvious, considering the fact that almost 1/4 of Israel's population is Palestinian Arab, of which 90% are Muslim, that a number of them will choose to serve for IDF?

It would be much more interesting to see how big a percentage such individuals form within their own community compared to Ashkenazi (European) Jews and Mizrahi (mainly Arab) Jews. The percentage is probably much lower.

As for the Bedouins, well, they are probably deeply tied to the land that their ancestors have inhabited for millennia and regardless of the future (whether with or without Israel) they will probably continue to do the same.

BTW, speaking about them, it has recently been proven, by DNA tests, that "Israeli" Bedouins (along with Palestinian Arabs, Saudi Arabians and Jordanians) can lay the biggest claim on the ancient Natufian culture (12.500 BC to 9.500 BC) whose people are known to have built the first Neolithic settlements on the planet as well as made the first attempts at agriculture, organized included. It was also arguably the first sedentary culture of this size in the world as well.

:enjoy:

If anyone still to this very day (!) remained in doubt of who has the greatest claim on this part of the Levant and Arab world, this is yet another confirmation. 1 out of 100's.

@Falcon29 @BLACKEAGLE @Kuwaiti Girl this new finding might interest you. In particular Falcon29.

Its funny to see how ignorant you are... muslims have killed more muslims than any other race in this planet... dont blam it on others...

Flawed, Muslims killing Muslims has nothing to do with Jews killing Muslims. "They kill each other more so it's ok". Theres limits to being a cheerleader.

And Muslims fighting for the Jewish state legitimises what the Jews have done to Palestine and Palestinians? FAIL.
