Who are you and me to say whether he was a Muslim or not? He was a person who placed his national identity over his religious identity. Let me tell you one thing - he is still considered the most revered of all the presidents. When he died all Indians - irrespective of their religious faith mourned. I even remember seeing a poster put by an organization which put him in the same pedestal as ancient saints and leaders like Swami Vivekanand
Well then he's not a Muslim. Nationalism is kufr, especially if the country isn't even Islamic in the first place.
Depends on your lens.
You think Sufis give a shit about what you have to say?
Just something to think about.
It doesn't depend on lens, it's the blunt truth, shrines are shirk as is some of the heretical beliefs people hold about Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, they act like he was some kind of superhuman when in reality he was a simple man like you and I for the most part.
That is what I am saying - let his Muslim identity be between him and Allah, SWT. You, Me nor these fringe groups have any rights to say that he is a Muslim or not.
PS - a little off topic - the same reasoning should apply to everyone. If a person claims he is a Muslim then then other Muslims should not sit in judgement on his religious status. Let it be between him and Allah, SWT
If someone displays their kufr, then we have the right to call them out on it. Simple as.
