THE ONLY RELIGION WHICH PREACHES VIOLENCE IS ISLAM, THE ONLY THING IT TEACHES IS HOW TO KILL RAPE, MURDER,LOOT, DESTROY, PILLAGE, HUMILIATE, THE LIST GOES ON

Why would you bring Hindu into it?

Because, as I've said on this forum many times before, I believe that most subcontinental Muslims are Hindus who now follow a different faith.

Ghar Wapsi is (I believe) a one-time way back. Something whose time has come looking at over a millenium of forced conversions and disturbance in the basic demography of a Dharmic land.

It is made possible (and in my mind, morally, ethically, and theologically defensible) by the fact that subcontinental Muslims are Hindu by blood.

The above thought process (losely divergent on the nitty gritty details here and there, but essentially steadfast at its core, amongst over a billion and a half human souls) is what we call and mean by HINDUTVA.

I like the spirit behind that post. No secret to anyone here that I would most likely disagree with that assertion but I do admire the sense of "fair play" that was sought to be projected.

Hindus are the quintessential "fair players." We cannot help ourselves.

We've played fair with the Muslims.

We've played fair with the British.

We've played fair with jihadi terrorists in Kashmir.

We are now going to play fair with Christian missionaries.

Though I like her attempt, understanding sanatana dharama takes a lot more than geeta. In fact starting with geeta would be a fallacy imho, for that, one should choose one of the philosophical schools among dvaita, vedanta, advaita vedanta, tantra, sankhya and then a differentiation of selected school that suits him/her.

Why would you bring Hindu into it? Zakir Naik is he also a case of True Ghar Wapsi?

Islam does not prohibit reading other's religious books, so what is the big deal here? Normal for a Muslim.

Was this really necessary here?
I think yes. Because we here are talking about a muslim girl who has won a compitition on Geeta. There are huge difference in ideaology of Geeta and Quran. But this girl is being nice saying " all religious book preachs the same" . Though she knows the difference.

************NO TROLLING PLS*********************
.MUMBAI: Twelve-year-old Maryam Siddiqui is a rank holder at the exams in school. But recently, the class VI student has aced a written competition based on the Bhagwad Gita. The Muslim girl has won the first position among over 3,000 participants at the 'Gita Champions League' contest, organized by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) in January.

The 100 mark multiple choice question based test, evaluates children on their knowledge of the Gita. "I have always been inquisitive about religions and I often read up on them during my free time. So when my teacher told me about this contest I thought it would be a good chance to understand what the book is about. My parents too supported my idea of participating in the contest," said Maryam, who received the prize on March 15.

A student of Cosmopolitan High School, Mira Road, Maryam studied material that was provided by Iskcon for almost a month before giving the test in English. "I read through the material and tried to understand what the Gita tries to tell us. The more I read about different religions, the more I have realized that humanity is the most important religion that we must follow," she said.

Maryam has always had conversations about religion with her parents. "Our family believes that one needs to respect and accept all religions. No religion preaches hatred or wrong. However, there are some members who have misguided us. Before these have a bad influence on the children, we need to talk to them and make them understand what is right," said her father, Asif Siddiqui.

Teachers at school are proud of Maryam's achievement. "The contest is open to students from all religions so we asked if anyone from school wanted to participate. Maryam is excellent at school exams and she showed the same excellence at this contest too," said her teacher, Sapna Brahmandkar.

could this be other way around? like a hindu girl winning a naat contest? minorities learn to survive. this is all it is sadly. plus this doesnot ensure tolerance. recently saw a video where hindu hooligans strangled a muslim boy, forcing him to accept Hindu gods. I think what we should do is fix our educational system. that is way forward.

I would not say the villagers did the right thing, but he was also on the wrong side of law. It happened in Maharashtra where beef has been banned. And I know ppl in the interiors of Maharashtra can come down heavily on you if you go against 'em.

This incident is a good precedent!
