Muslim girl Gulnaz molested by Hindutva terrorist burnt alive when she resisted

Thank you Jinnah, but let’s not forget the role our powerful groups Pashtuns, Kashmiris, Baluchis , Sindhi and Punjabi’s who made Pakistan a reality. Not for these people there would be no Pakistan

.
At least Raymond Davis got arrested and paid something for his crime unlike in the hindutva state where those who commit severe crimes against minorities are untouchable.
Fair point, even though I too don't like blood money concept. In Hindustan, these terrorists get full pardon and a promising political future.

I am also all against the blood money concept because in pakistan it's abused by the rich and powerful to get away from murders. This system is not deterring the rich and powerful from committing murders ,infact it's encouraging them.

How are these two dalit leaders being taken by the voters? How many votes they roped in from their constituents?

Majority vote doesn't mean that those voters are correct. Lenin, Fidel Castro and Prophet Muhammad once were speaking from a minority point of view. Also Gautama Buddha and Guru Nanak.

In Representative Democracy systems like India and USA there is the drama of multiple parties led by career politicians who do the five-yearly drama of standing in elections. Most times these career politicians who are appointed the candidates by their parties, ask for vote from the masses through demagoguery instead of through real sense. These career politicians claim that they represent the wishes of the masses but they either represent their parties or only part of the masses.

Result can be that the demagogue can win through majority vote and can institute wrong things in the country. The minority voting public may have good ideas but their candidate has not won so their ideas will not be fulfilled for the next five years until the next election, and even then there is no guarantee that their candidate will win even then.

Representative Democracy is not real democracy because there is a majoritarian dictatorship upon the minority. Why should the minority not have a say in the running of their country ? Just because of an artificial imposition that their losing candidate cannot effect ideas and changes in the government ?

Real democracy is through the system of Direct Democracy where the people can directly speak about their ideas and needs up to the highest levels in the running of the country and without any party. Yes, a party-less society. Such a Direct Democracy system, guided and tempered by socialism, existed in Libya from 1969 to 2011. You can read here how that system worked in theory.

So Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan and Jignesh Mevani may not be the most popular leaders ( by vote ) among the masses but their ideas are not wrong. They should be given the opportunity to contribute as to how the country is run. Revolutionary politics starts from a few or even one.

@dharmi, tagging you because you liked Jaatram's post.

We don't want some bloody communist revolution here, there's a lot of history about how those things go.

Apart from that, given that there's no appetite for it among the masses, these guys have no chance at being elected democratically.

A communist / socialist revolution need not be bloody. Take the Pakistani one in 1951 or the Libyan one in 1969.

As for India, even on PDF we each Indian member can discuss what progressive ideas will work in the immediate term ( the next five years ) and how to implement them. This is as simple as coming to an agreement. There is no message written in the night sky by Nature that says we should not do it or cannot do it.

Many times the masses may not have the appetite. It is generally up to a vanguard to take up the work. I think this was the case in the Russian Revolution too.

Please read my previous post's mention about minority POV.
