How is she "quom ki beti"?

How is she "Daugher of Quom"? How was Banezir the daughter of East then? How is Quaid-e-Azam father of this Nation? Why do you call Fatima Jinnah Madar-e-Millat ? How was Allama Iqbal Hakeem-ul-ummat? If you do not understand meanings of all that, I have no grief for you not identifying Afia as daughter of this country and Nation.

How is she "quom ki beti"?
Are all those women and girls effected by floods/earth quake not quom ki betis who genuinely hold Pakistani Citizenship? what makes afia so special?

PS. where was her mother and the lot when she was allegedly abducted? Why didn't they ask for help during the first week of her so called abduction but only revealed it after news came from afghanistan of her being caught.

I think she went to afghanistan for a once in a life time big shot for $dollars that she could earn once and for all and jump back to us and life a lavish life. Things turned ugly when she got caught and all the plan gone down the drain and after that her mother and supporters came forward blaming former Govt.

I advise afia's supporters to see through open mind, I do agree the conviction of 86 years is wrong it should have been 15 years max, but you people too don't have any evidence against former Govt as well as all the rant babbling and blaming started after she was discovered in afghanistan before that when she was missing her mother and close supporters were totally silent that raises another question.

Man in the US people who seriously hurt someone in a bar fight (but not kill or permanently disable them) will go to jail for like 2-3 years, so yeah even 15 would've been super wrong, 86 screams out US is up to something - and so are all those who collaborated with the US from Pakistan.

"Daughter of the nation", agreed its a slogan - big deal? Something to rally the people together. Everyone has to remember that this is extreme injustice and if it can happen to one, it can happen to everyone's daughter.

To recap objectively,

1) The US didn't try her on terrorism, so you can't hold the terrorism card against her
2) The forensic evidence against her was almost non-existant. The gun expert said that gun was never fired. No shell casing, no gunpower, no bullet was ever recovered from the crime scene (a closed security facility, with army personnel).
3) How can Yvonne Ridley write about her in the article "Gray Lady of Bagram", claiming she's been arrested since 2003, 10 days before the US acknowledges they arrested her. If she made it up, its a pretty big coincidence that the same chick had to go and screw things up for her and make the article come true.

If Musharraf is innocent, the only other explanation is that the US hired some Pakistani police officers to conduct a secret mission have her arrested and moved out of Pakistan. But then still Musharraf will be guilty of definitely finding out whenever he did and he did nothing - he didn't fight for her.

I perfectly understand what you are relating to. Before you label someone good do research on their Profiles.
benazir is nothing in my book and in many others book her.

Now look at the profiles of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, his Sister and Allama Iqbal.

Check out afia's profile, you might call it a fake tainted one truth is afia is not daughter of the nation, I consider each and every women who is effected by earthquake/floods in Pakistan and working along side men to rebuild their homes as true daughters of Pakistan.

Don't be sentimental on this subject you have to look at the situation from a different perspective.

Those people rendered valuable services to the nation of Pakistan. Afia willingly migrated to west and rendered valuable services of her talent and intellect to American people, government and most likely CIA. She only came to Pakistan to collaborate with the terrorist effectively bringing shame upon us. At best she should be awarded "Ghaddar-e-Millat" along with Zardari!

Muhammad Mian Somro, the Chairman of Senate was informed within minutes of her abduction. Asad Ashrif Malik (IG) called and inquired about the issue in next few minutes. Somro later told her mother that Afia was taken to America.

OK fine musharaf lied in fact whole assembly at that time lied.They had a brilliant idea of how about abducting a lady from karachi and keep it in Afghanistan for 15 years.So everybody in the governmence,ISI and CIA rush towards airport and abducted a randomly picked lady to keep her in afghanistan and musharraf got whole lot of ransom for this and divided among his family.Then whole of press and court drama by western because its damn fun.
Or maybe musharaf have some personal problems with dr aafia thats why?

Her own behaviour has been marked "inconsistent" and "irrational".

Her "intelligence" can be recognized on grounds that she won so many sympathies for her. But this is also just female comoon sympathy getting "intelligence".

He rejected USA life and preferred to live in war country like Afghanistan. ok.... can be expected from "intelligent" ppl.

But she failed in taking care of her family ... especially her children. NOT an intelligent or rational behaviour!

Don't twist facts and don't deform reality by exgeggegratin. You are resisting to understand one basic aspect that Americans on their own cannot do things like that. They were supported by people in Pakistan.. Do we agree on that?

If you agree.. who would you hold responsible for letting American do this, not just for her but in many other cases as well.

They all hold one commonality, they were Pakistani. Dr. Afia or any other person who is born here in Pakistan is respectable and this country give him/her all the rights that Mohammad Ali Jinnah or Fatima Jinnah had. On these grounds, they are not just comparable but same.

Even if she was illeterate, what makes you think she was any lesser Pakistani? I don't see her as hero, I don't see her any educational worth or sociopolitical character in her, I see in her a women and the fact that she was Pakistani. Cut all other arguments shot, who would you or Musharaf or any third person justify her abduction without allegations or conviction.???

Why is love of Musharaf forcing many of us to be devil's advocate???
