Honourable Sir,
No one would condone Javed Latif, harsh words are as bad as fists, but what Muraad Saeed did was simply inexcusable. That is why I wrote that both should be suspended from the Assembly.
It is obvious that my way of thinking is quite different from that of many PTI supporters. Can any rational person honestly justify trying to settle an argument with Fists! Apparently you and Imran Khan along with most of his supporters are doing just that. I am also appalled to hear that instead of reprimanding his MNA, Imran Khan declared that he would have gone even further! Did your leader mean that he would have shot Javed Latif instead?
It is ironic that Imran Khan accuses everyone else; his victims include Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, opposition leaders and journalists; however when Imran is on the receiving end, he is telling his supporters to go and beat up the accuser!
We complain of the intolerance in the society and the gun culture. Can there be a more blatant example than the leader of a main stream political party encouraging his supporters to use violence to settle political arguments? When leaders behave this way, others will follow.
I have always admired Imran for his honesty and his work about the Cancer Hospital and Namal University. I disliked him only because of his soft spot from the Taliban. I have now realised that his liking of the militants was because his mind-set is no different , he is equally intolerant of the people who disagree with him.
I don’t mind even if you call me 10th class instead of a third class analyst. I don’t post to earn praise, I simply write my opinions on an issue which others have every right to differ. I maintain my view that using ‘Fists’ to settle an argument is a barbaric & intolerant act which should be unreservedly condemned.
However, it appears that Imran has created a personality cult of supporters that worships him like Nazi youth worshiped Hitler. One should dread the day when Imran becomes Prime Minster of Pakistan.
