Have you been to the Multan International Airport?

. . . .
Looks ultra modern. Sleek...

Great development this. Pak would be needing a lot of such regional, international airports in every province.

However, would have been nice if the architects/developers would have paid to the ancient Heritage of Multan as well.

Have seen here on PDF how elegant the old/traditional architecture of this area is. And there are Multan blue titles...

Regardless, great going.. Paks deserve the Best!

I would like to express a wish though... in all civil or major commerical architecture a particular attention must be paid to the Pak Heritage... this will help foster a deeper National Sense of Civilisation... Young Paks deserve it!

And the Trees..please, don't forget the Trees!!!!!!!

The lack of attention to ethnic cultural details is indeed a short-coming. This is something I see in airports around the world. Seems they all want to look like Changi or Dubai. Minimalism and modernity are fine but just for sheer variety it would be nice if more airports added unique cultural artifacts, such as the blue tiles that you mentioned.

Unfortunately that is what happens when educated is non existent and mannerism is lacking. Few years back a friend used the Multan airport before I did and he shared a pic with me where this gus who had a big belly was wearing a very tight shirt. One of the buttons had broken right in the middle exposing his banyan underneath. apparently he was going GCC for a job, yea looking like a clown they will offer you a job lol.

Have you seen Islamabad Airport?
:what:

All airports in Pakistan were designed by monkeys as it appears. Absolutely shoddy design and offering sub-substandard services. Staff are twats which makes the experience even more exotic. Airports get a huge expenditure globally because it matters how they look and perform. this concept has not yet reached Pakistan.
