Colombo has some of the hippest New year bashes around.. A lot of party goes from even Dubai and India fly down


 
We cant match SL, Its totally a tourism friendly country :-)

Actually mate.. Colombo has to catch up with Bombay.. As far as entertainment and other aspects goes.. Bombay is the match.. People with money to burn and many options to enjoy

I feel like the word 'hipster' isn't fully understood, and is wrong for this thread.

To each his own...

I'd agree for a change.. There is no definite definition.. How do you measure it ? Entertainment ? Culture ? Night life ? Art's ?

I don't really know, but in my experince and opinion, hipsters are those that live in gentrifying neighbourhoods, wear bohemian and often times retro (late 70s thru' the 80s) clothing, listen to alternative and indie music etc. The new residents of Williamsburg (Brooklyn) symbolize the 'hipster' to me.
