So basically, earlier today an army officer, upon being stopped by a motorway police official on the M1, first brandished his gun on the police with a 9mm pistol and upon being stopped, called up his superior officer who sent reinforcements who kidnapped the police official, took him to an undisclosed location and tortured him there. More details in the incident report attached below:



More reports suggests that upto 4 Motorway Police Officials were tortured .

Is the Army above the law??

Just to clarify something, there's some confusion over whether the army guy fired shots or only brandished his gun at the cops. Per an earlier report in Urdu, he fired shots when signalled to stop and kept driving, only stopping when the policeman's backup arrived while conspicuously carrying AKs. The English report seems to suggest he only brandished the gun at the cops. Given that there's no way to know for certain which version of the events is accurate, disregard the bit about firing shots in the OP.

now all those who demands from raheel sharif to come and take over lawlessness and whatever would demand strict action against that millitary personnel or we should think that POlice personnel did wrong thing by stopping and should have allowed them to break the law.
these black sheeps bring bad names to our army. i wish a proper inquiry should be initiated and those are culprits should be dealt accordingly.

پاک فوج کے آفیسرز نے موٹروے پولیس کی گاڑی کو کراس کیا غالباً انکی سپیڈ اس وقت لمٹ سے زیادہ تھی۔ موٹر ویے پولیس نے گاڑی بھگا کر ان کی گاڑی کے آگے بریکس لگوا کر انکو روکا اور انکی گاڑی سے چابیاں کھینچ لیں۔
پاک فوج کے دونوں آفسیرز نے اپنا تعارف کرایا جیسا کہ معمول ہے تو موٹروے پولیس کے اہلکار نے سخت بدتمیزی سے کہا کہ " تم جیسے بہت سے افسر دیکھے ہیں "
تب فوجی آفیسر نے کہا " آپ کو تمیز سے بات کرنی چاہئے "
اس بات پر موٹر وے اہلکار بھپر گئے اور آرمی آفیسر کو گالیاں دینے لگے اور مارنے لگے۔ ان کے کچھ اور ساتھی بھی آگئے۔ وہ تعداد میں کل 7 تھے جبکہ وہ فوجی آفیسر صرف 2 تھے۔
موٹروے پولیس نے دونوں آفیسرز کو حراست میں لے لیا۔ معاملہ سلجھانے اٹک قلعے کے ٹو آئی سی صاحب خود پہنچے۔ وہاں کچھ تلخ کلامی ہوئی۔
اس موقعے پر تھانے میں ڈی آئی جی اور سی او صاحب موجود تھے۔ فیصلہ یہ ہوا کہ معاملہ اٹک قلعے میں طے کیا جائے۔
ڈی آئی جی پولیس اور سی او اٹک کی زیر نگرانی یہ سارے اٹک قلعے میں گئے اور وہاں معاملہ ختم کر دیا۔ اس سارے عرصے کے دوران موٹروے پولیس کے آئی جی صاحب ان سے مسلسل رابطے میں رہے۔
اسی رات سی او اٹک صاحب کو خبر ملی کہ " کہ کسی خٹک صاحب نے پاک فوج کے خلاف ایف آئی آر کاٹ دی ہے جس میں جھوٹی اور من گھڑت کہانیان ڈالی گئی ہیں۔ " دلچسپ بات یہ ہے کہ یہ موصوف اس سارے واقعے میں کہیں بھی موجود نہیں تھے۔ صرف سستی شہرت کے لیے ایک ایسے واقعے کی ایف آئی آر کاٹ دی جس کو خود آئی جی موٹر وے پولیس اور ڈی آئی جی پولیس نے اپنی نگرانی میں حل کر لیا تھا۔ یہ ہے اس سارے ڈرامے کی اصل حقیقت۔

مریم نواز کی نگرانی میں چلنے والے سوشل میڈیا پیجز پر اس معاملے کو خوب اچھالا جا رہا ہے اور اس کے لیے مشہور زمانہ " جیو نیوز" کی خبر کی سکرین شاٹ بھی چلائی جا رہی ہیں۔ نوٹ کیجیے کہ یہ خبر کسی اور چینل پر موجود نہیں۔

اس قسم کے بےہودہ ڈارمے بازیوں سے پاکستان دشمن عناصر لوگوں کے دلوں سے پاک فوج کی محبت کو نہیں نکال سکتے جو انہوں نے اپنی جانیں دے کر کمائی ہے لیکن اتنا ضرور ہے کہ فوجی جوانوں کے دلوں کو ٹھیس پہنچا سکتے ہیں۔

i seem to feel that majority of the members here are either overly optimistic about our police or they havent practically seen pakistani police upclose. 99 percent of pakistan policemen are thugs, goons, dacoits, theives, frauds, cheats and murderers. I mean why are u all being so naive. Dont you know that these assholes would sell even their own mother just for some cash. Trust me if anyone of u had ever seen their working upclose or has been part of them or even encountered them, you'd know.

They dont behave like helpers or protectors of their nation, rather the exploit their own people as if the have the right to, as if they are some foreign invaders, as if they own this country. Perhaps this mind set is prevaialing because of the old britsih structure that our police force is based on. The truth is they are being fed not only by are tax but our hard earner cash. In the form of forcibly demanded bribes

The fact is that there are exMples of good officers in the police as well, however they are so less in number that they either get overshadowed by the corrupt ones or leave the force themselves. I mean how can an honest man choose to stay in the police when taking bribes is taught as part of your police training. So much for institutionaliZed justice. I have no pity for them whatsoever. Haram ki maut marte hain bayghairat because nothing about them is Islamic.

Pakistan police should be demolished from bottom up and a new modern police force must be set up who must be taught manners before all else. They must first be taught to respect pakistani citizens. I encourage people to make recording of everytime they have an encounter with the police. Because guess what also lie compulsively.

Theyre a disgrace to the uniform and to our country.

NHMP pointed the guns at the two first to which "Boys got infuriated -- which is actually wrong on them but Police called their back up -- Police hurdled abuse at ISI & Army ---- scuffle broke out ---- 2IC was called by the "Boys" who reached the site with his drivers --- when things turned ugly he called QRF ------ Thing about SSG is whatever the case may be they back their guys up ----

mistake is on both sides --- both parties handled the situation wrong ---- that is why DIG and CO resolved the matter or else Captains would get done for assaulting on duty police officers , resisting ticket ---- & Police officer would get done for insulting national insitution and assualting Army officers who were on duty

sir g I agree on you on 60% ---- but i urge you to go and stand outside Adiyala Jail at 6:00am or outside Katcheri --- poor souls are standing on the road side hoping someone out of petty would offer them a ride because they don't get any ride of their own from Department for transporting prisoners ----- they are underpaid and under equipped doing a thankless job ------- they do corruption because they have to pay SI / Muharar so he could deploy them on good placed ---- SI has to do it because SHO sb needs this Thana of his choice , and SHO sb has paid millions for this posting to SSP sb ----- and to get to the Top Management ladder SSP sb has to keep filling the pockets of MNAs & MPAs & his Superiors ----- its very ugly side of the story

they have fuel qouta daily
as i remember 50 litters those days
they take money of fuel everyday from patrol station and sign there as they got fuel . also every 3 days they write a break oil bottle in list so they take money extra . every 20 days they write oil change but they take money from there also . they did not change oil just fill little Mobil oil when they see its low . the police van driver is the one whom have all this . while he sit with us enjoying drink wireless came from station they want pick up for raid he reply golden words

Bullshiit, I've been reading similar news since the 80's. Even a simple, high school pass soldier in Pakistan thinks he is above the law compared to a Civil Services Officer who comes from highly qualified credential and certifications. I know plenty of cases. I had a course mate once, Captain. Gull. He once told me a story that one of his soldiers complained about Police asking him for Ownership papers of his motorbike and he got mad at them and told them he was from the military. They seized the bike, let him go and ask him to bring proofs so he can take his bike. He ended up taking half the platoon under Captain. Gull and literally brought hostage all 22 of the police officers into an Army camp, along with their police cars, weapons and barricades. Who does that? What is this? 1700's??

Law is and should always be the same for everyone. The Pak Army people aren't above the rest of the Armies that exist in every country, but it seems so in Pakistan's case. These practices are illegal and unconstitutional and should be stopped. Any soldier going out of the law, should be court martial'd or reprimanded so that this above the law behavior stops!!

Also, the entire globe has militaries for protection. Why do Pakistan Army soldiers / officers get expensive land pieces upon retirement? Haven't the public paid enough for their service for all the years they served with top line benefits, insurance, food, homes, etc, etc?? This is also an insane example. Only in Pakistan, the military makes sure that already-rich officers, leave with super expensive land plots. Doesn't make any sense and its not practiced anywhere in the globe!! The country belongs to the poor people of Pakistan, not to the rich Army of 550K people out of 200 million. These are serious anomalies that as a culture should change for the better in Pakistan. All people are the same and should follow the law.

u cant blame the whole department , if some one did wrong as a person. I think we should stop blaming the whole department , yes we expect from Army to take a deep look in that matter, and take a serious step.

Motorway police is one of the most professional police in Pakistan. They are courteous and I never experienced or witnessed or ever heard any untoward incident involving the motorway police.

The culprits definitely need to be brought to justice in this case. Army's needs to discipline them according to law.
