I heard the news a few days ago. Not the same, though. EBR is a completely different company. If I understand the legalism correctly, HD owns the 'Buell' brand when it bought Buell.

Did HD discontinue the Buell Line?

The last Buell motorcycle was produced on October 30, bringing the number manufactured to 136,923.[6]

In November 2009, Buell and Harley-Davidson announced the launch of Erik Buell Racing, an independent company run by Erik Buell which at first produced race-only versions of the 1125R model, but which is currently offering an updated 1190RS model for the street or the track.[7]

To be perfectly and brutally honest, HD may be good for the arrow straight good roads of the US, but it is a big flop in India man. It was a hoot riding with the HD guys to IBW and back this year. On the straights they pull away, the moment the twisties come, they slow down for fear of dragging their big $ pipes. LOL The suspension is too soft and sags solo, forget when someone sits pillion. And you need to carry another guy with you on tour to help you push your bike into place for parking or putting it into formation. Now that is a sight. Sort of like the classic Indian truck cleaner! ha ha ha

My maximum has been 1475 kms in 24 hours on a Machismo. Was going for the Saddle Sore but the last couple of hours were torture and I was getting hit by waves of sleep on the bike and so aborted.

@Sashan was caught on video, out for a ride with his Pakistani friends from PaDef, allegedly:

Yes. The Buell brand is gone. There are still debates on whether Erik Buell should have allowed HD to buy him out. The Buells are what the Sportster line should have been and HD let the brand languished in the showrooms, giving only minimal efforts in selling them. A lot of EB's innovations in the Buells are seen in the some of the top racing bikes today, such as the underslung exhaust can. Buells are quirky and unique in appearance. The local Hooters restaurant have a weekly 'Bike Night' and my S1 always get plenty of looks, along with a lot of girls wanting to sit on it just because of the 'bicycle seat' it has.

HDs are not known for that. They are 99.999% cruisers. However, it still up to the rider and there are plenty of HD cops doing turns around cones that would embarrass most sports bike riders.

There is a vid in there with a Victory police cruiser. I have been interested in a long distance cruiser for a long time, just never budgeted out for one. But I have been researching Victory lately. Testimonies seems to says the Vics are excellently designed and manufactured. The issue, not exactly problem, seems to be dealership support across the US as Victory is still a relatively young brand. Am interested in the Judge as it is more my taste in minimum styling.

You will need a screen and bags to go long distance on this:

@Sashan The longer you wait this year to buy a bike, the less of the riding season will remain to be enjoyed, but the deals will get better too.

I had the lessons scheduled for March, the beginning of the season here but had to move it couple of times for certain reasons.
