There are two points I would like to make:
- Millions of Indian Muslims are not migrating to Bangladesh or Pakistan - whereas there is a steady flow of Hindus from these two states to India. That pretty much shows how minorities are treated in these three countries. Its a bit rich for a Pakistani - where the state has made discrimination into a constitutional law, to be critical of India on her treatment of minorities. Regrettable, tragic and unacceptable as they are, incidents such as Dadri don't represent India. Which is why they cause such revulsion in the average citizen.
- Pakistan shouldn't be setting the standard of behaviour for India - being more tolerant than Pakistan isn't an achievement, its a basic requirement for being considered a civilized society. We should simply look at Pakistan as an example of what happens when religion, fanaticism, militarism and politics mix - and should take a lesson on avoiding that road.
