Met a few Afghan refugees in UK who lived and were educated in cities such as Peshawar and Quetta. Many have deep rooted hatred for Pakistan and openly curse the nation and its people. The only decent friendly Afghans I've interacted with have been the Afghan Kabali Sikhs. Really friendly, hard working and educated people. I suppose they got on with me when i spoke with them in Punjabi.
My experience as well. It has nothing to do with education.
The fact is that they see Pakistan as an occupier on their territory. This predates the Soviet Afghan war.
Why do Pakistanis forget this?
Must be a reason why they hate us? I am sure we can change their opinion.
Any way Imran Khan aka Kusra f*ker wants to change the demography so he can keep getting voted in. I don't think we should politicise the refugees, just give them citizenship and integrate into Pakistan and help them to build their own future without ignoring our own.
The reason is Pakistan is "occupying" part of Afghan land. Which country did not accept Pakistan in 1947/48?
It is the same reason that Iblis did not accept Adam (PBUH).
Now the only way Pakistan can appease this, is by "returning" parts of KPK and Balochistan to Afghanistan.
There is no other way. You can throw money, passports, letting them come into Pakistan during the Soviet-Afghan war, whatever you want....you will not be able to change the opinion of the Afghan nation....the sooner Pakistan realises this the better for herself unless Pakistan does what I have proposed above.
Yaar when I see Afghans who have been living here for decades, bad mouthing about Pakistan.. I can't just digest.. Unn ko tabdeeli lani paregi pehlay..
By the way, the ones who have the nationality (by somehow obtaining Pakistani CNIC and Passports) have more hate in them..
What can you expect from them? Why should they not badmouth an "occupier"? Would you not bad mouth an occupier?
The reason those who have Pakistan papers are more hateful, and the reason why those Afghans who have British/EU papers here in the UK are more hateful of Pakistan is because they have now no worry of being repatriated. It is that simple.
What the hearts conceal is far worse than what the tongue reveals....
Look at this bro. Afghans even settle in our villages and learn a little bit of Punjabi and Saraiki, so why should I curse people that make an honest living with hard work? You think these people are a problem for Pakistan?
I don't follow blind narrative of so called patriots because if anything, they are the farthest thing from a patriot of Pakistan.
For god sake, the person/mistri that built my grandfather house in the city of Bahawalpur was Afghan. And he is a family friend to this day. He was the age of my uncles when he began to build it. Like 16 years old.
Look man, don't curse them. Have cordial relations with them. Even be friends with them.
Even I have dinner with Afghan colleagues/friends of mine in the UK. But we just have learned not to speak about Pakistan/Afghanistan issues.
Just do not expect an Afghan refugee who was born and bred in Pakistan to be loyal to Pakistan in case of a border skirmish with Afghanistan. Just do not expect them to have the national interests of Pakistan at heart. Even Pakistanis like Nawaz or Asif Ali did not have this interest at heart.
What folly to expect it from some one from another nation, and a nation that considers Pakistan an "occupier"!
So many people hating on the afghan refugees.
First, they should have never been allowed into the country.
But now that they are here, we need real solutions, not fairy tales.
These afghans have no stake in the state, so naturally they will commit crimes and hate the people who are not giving them rights.
Once they get rights we can change them to love Pakistan over time. If not them, then their children.
That is how America and Canada work as well.
So many people are very loyal to those counties even though they are "foreigners"
As for the people opposed, fine, give a real workable solution, not some fairy tales.
If I may be so blunt and do forgive me. But what naivety it is to think that Pakistan/Afghanistan can work like the USA or Canada.
