Moscow keen to set-up more nuke power plants in India: Russian envoy


New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): Russian Ambassador to India Alexander M Kidskin has stated that Russia is ever ready to offer assistance to India in establishing 16 nuclear power generating stations.

He further welcomed the Supreme Court of India's verdict that gave a green signal to the controversial Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant by observing that it has been set up by the government for the welfare of the people and for sustainable growth.

Hope they wrap up the talks for setting up of additional two VVER reactors for Kudankulam 3&4 along with conditions for extending soft loan. In addition we would love to see difference being sought out with foreign suppliers over Nuclear Liability Law as this would immediately clear way for Jaitapur NPP as well.
