What if it blows back in our face? There's already a lot of hate coming our way from Tunisia because we gave asylum to their dictator. and even some Yemenis hold a grudge for fixing up Saleh. Imagine what would happen when Egyptians revolt again, and believe me, if nothing is changed, it will happen sooner or later, and it will dwarf all revolutions and it will burn everything around it. We should at least use our influence to expedite a positive change from within the military regime to get rid of its most corrupt heads. And to stop the cracking down on freedoms, maybe then a scary outcome of this mess can be avoided.I don't agree with this brother. Do you know who rules Egypt and have done so since the royal family was removed in the early 1950's? The Egyptian military. Do you know that they have been one of our closest allies since before Mubarak? We have no reason to have any conflict with Egypt whatsoever. Instead we should aim to cooperate with a brotherly Arab/Semitic/Muslim neighbor in Egypt just like our aim should be to have good ties with every single Arab country and major powers. I would want us to have good relations with not only the US, West and China but also Russia. Why not? Differences are no static and can be worked out.
Of course we should always be cautious and it's no different with the current Egyptian regime. I am sure that the rulers already know this.
Our only real eternal enemies are the Farsi Mullah's and their lapdogs. Nobody else.
