we are catching. Bangladesh has 6% + growth India will be there next year as well. Sri Lanka is doing well. South Asia is rising

It's about the base economy as well.

America isn't growing fast in percentage terms, but they have such an enormous base economy that they are adding the most to global GDP (second only behind China).

South Asia should be growing a lot more than just 5-6%, due to the lower base economy.

US economy is as big as European Union lol so no we cant match that. But rest assured South Asia is on the right path finally. If Afghanistan and Pakistans mess is sorted out we can grow even faster. heck thats almost 2 billion population and a growth of 6% would be massive!

Needs to be more.

China grew at more than 10% average over three whole decades, and we are STILL only a developing country.

Large population = Low base GDP per capita = Extremely difficult to reach developed status.

Actually Pakistan growth rate as per World bank for this year is projected to be 5.4%,by IMF 5% and by the govt 5.1%.So in short we are also expecting around 5% growth rate this year,and anything beyond 5% is not slow by any standard
