They(BJP) have majority in Lok Sabha not in Rajya Sabha. Even if bill passed in Lok Sabha it won't pass in Rajya Sabha.

They can call for a joint session too, if it fails through Rajya Sabha.

In my opinion, the budget may not be extra ordinary, but certainly not populist. That is what is required. The less we talk of Congress the better. India lost , I don't know how many billions of dollars in scams during congress tenure. All that money belongs to people not to congress ministers and MPs.

What women empowerment are we talking of? India has been ruled 90% of the time by congress since Independence. Where is women empowerment? Sexual violence is all time high in India.

And what has RTI done? Who wants RTI? Certainly not the common man.

Education section of budget has dissapointed me a lot... govt could have lowered interests on education loans atleast... Is desh mei education loan pe ROI 13% hai , but car loan pe to sirf 10.2% hai...

It's only the first year, the GoI have only passed one budget and whilst they seem to be taking a more incremental reforms approach the fruits are already evident for all to see- boosted GDP growth estimates, bouyed investor confidence, increased flows of FDI, surging SENSEX etc etc

The GoI is moving ahead with two major bills/laws- GST and fixing the land issue, this alone will boost GDP growth signifcantly and by 2016/17 the GoI will be able to turn their attention to other areas too. THey are on the right path, yes things might not be happening as fast as some would have liked but Modi is far from disappointing and one hugly pleasant surprise has been his proactive foreign policy, the number of nations he has visited in the past 8 months is truly impressive and this is only good for promoting India's interests.
