Killing the man was a dumb act and all those involved should be punished appropriately according to the law.

But I have an observation to make here -
On the Merrut girl's rape, conversion thread some amongst us(and I am strictly talking of Indians resident or non resident) questioned the girl's story and wanted more sources to corroborate the fact what was the girl doing at Mosque to begin with. So now what stopped them from asking what this person( who got killed) was doing in a Hindu majority area in a messed up state, once his story about the act of offence to the majority was made public and FIR lodged against him? Did we just not spotted bunch of hyprocrites??
Then they cry of thekedars of Hinduism and that too on a thread where most of the Hindus have only criticized the killing and want law to take its course. Something is wrong with such poor souls and god only can help them get over their contempt for a particular religion.

Calling media to be biased, blaming people of holding a bias and you will be declared "Thekedar of Hinduism".

Most of the mediahouses depicted meerut incident as that of forced marriage. Only a few stated the real facts. May be the editors of the ones, who did put the real story forward, are some extremist fundu north Indian Hindus.

Hours after he was booked on charges of cow slaughter, a Muslim trader was beaten to death allegedly by a Hindu mob in Pachpedwa police station area of Balrampur district Wednesday evening.

According to the police, residents of Motinagar village claimed to have discovered some pieces of beef in the fields Wednesday morning. Some of them, led by right wing Hindu organisations, complained to the police.

Police lodged an FIR on charges of cow slaughter against Shazir, 45, a resident of neighbouring Bargadwa Saif village, and two other Muslims from Motinagar village.

On coming to know of the FIR against him, Shazir went to a friend’s place in neighbouring Manoharapur village, a Hindu-dominated village about 3 km away.

However, a mob attacked the house where Shazir was staying and caught him as he tried to escape. He was beaten up severely and died on way to a hospital in Pachpedwa town in the night.

Enraged by the incident, a large number of Muslims gathered at Pachpedwa police station and were pacified only after senior police and administration officials arrived.

Bargadwa Saif village head Rehanul Hasan said the protesters forced the policemen to abandon the police station. Police, however, denied this.

Later, police lodged an FIR against Manoharapur pradhan Ramsagar Yadav, his brother Anurag and other unidentified villagers on the complaint of Shazir’s wife Reshma.

Balrampur Superintendent of Police B D Shukla said Shazir’s murder was the result of him being named in the cow slaughter case.
He said the case against Shazir was lodged following a complaint by some villagers who accused him of cow slaughter.

Shukla said the police are trying to nab the accused and some persons are already in custody.

He added they are trying to avert a law and order situation.

Shazir’s cousin Mushtaq said his brother used to sell buffaloes but was not involved in cow slaughtering.

He said Shazir is survived by three daughters and three sons. His body was brought to his village Thursday night after the postmortem examination was conducted in Gonda.

When you know people revere something as sacred and it is a sensitive issue where shit's gonna hit fan real quick, you are expected not to do it. Not only minorities have rights, even majorities have as well. It is not called as promoting religion, It is called upholding secular values coz surprise....hindus have rights as well.

The trader should not have slaughtered cows. He offended the sensibilities of the majority community . If you were to insult prophet of islam or leave islam you are killed for blasphemy. He killed cows and offended hindu people and did blasphemy against Hinduism. So obviously hindus followed prophet mohammed's laws that whoever does blasphemy or apostasy is killed. Muslims in india should respect the sensitivities of the hindu community, not just because hindus are the majorty, but bcause they are a minority living in a very pluralistic society
