The modern Primary trainers technology suggests that there is no need for an Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT). For Example: US Air Force has retired all their T-37 tweets and T-34 Mentors and replaced them with T-6 Texan 2 (US version of Pilatus PC-9).
So far I know, BAF is planning for same. In fact BAF is in the process of acquiring the kind of Primary Trainers that can replace the aging PT-6 and IJT T-37.
