Military still plays bloated role in Pakistan's politics: Hina Rabbani Khar!

It's not a unifying force, its the only force with a big DANDA in its hands.
The least corrupt institution in the country does deserve to be respected. The only people who hate the Army are the western oriented slaves who have no idea what an independent force should be. Though I deeply resent the army's role at one point of time-the division of Bengal at the rest of the times it has served as a secular bulwark against the mullahs and terrorist forces.

Have you lately been to Defense Housing, Askari Housing and other elite housing schemes of the Defense Establishment? Try visiting one and let me know if it is the least corrupt institution of Pakistan.

Excuse me Sir, the Army is not supposed to be independent, but be subservient to civil authority by law.
Exactly. People in Pakistan do not understand that even the judiciary is subservient to civil authority, that is the parliament. If Parliament itself is full of corrupt maniacs, then there is no saving the country, no army, no judiciary.

These Corrupt Political LOW LIVES have no ground to stand on. If it was not for the Military, these scumbags would have long pawned off the country.,

.
Question: Without the Army's influence, where would Pakistan be?

It would probably have become a nation of independent states comprising Balochistan, Sind, and Punjab!

I would have loved her honest opinion if Zardari was able to come visit Pakistan these days, Asim was not arrested for his corruption and support to terrorists, would she have said the same thing? I don't think so, I still remember the U turns Zardar party had to make when they were shown the weak danda of Kiyani.

Had the military played the bloated role, Mr Zardari would had been behind bars. But sadly Kyani was as much of a compliance in the loot plunder as Zadari and Co were.

Would this imply that the Generals are equally complicit ?

Raheels's deeds will come to the fore after he quits.

While in the chair Mush & Kyani were eulogised by posters here.

It's funny, you can see Zardaris corruption, but at the same time are blind to Kiyani's. Pakistan will not grow until military is sent back into barracks. Care to explain, how Pakistani Generals can afford to have their families live in Dubai and also have residence in Pakistan.

Do I get to elect Kiyani?

No you don't, he was selected by Musharraf. Please don't take what I said personally, I am simply saying as long as Pakistanis love affair with Military continues, we are going nowhere, but down.

No why would I take it personally? I asked you a technical question, I will question and blame the one I elect and most of the time Army Chief gets elected by people I elect to govern me, so again the blame goes to the impotent, incompetent thug that I get to elect.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves over Raheel but yes Generals are no saints either. Mush even though with all his short comings was still better than the lot we have now. Pakistan saw the highest development and achieved the highest GDP during his time.
