Military Deployment in Afghanistan is not in India’s National Interests

People here are saying against military deployment are just trying to look nice, don't they?

FACT is that Afghanistan cannot handle taliban alone, there is even a high chance that without any external supervision a lot of these AF soldiers will join the taliban and become part of the loot.
India needs to deploy atleast 10,000-30,000 soldiers, with special forces support. This strategy has also been raised by Subramanian Swamy. Yearly budget will be at the most $2-$3 billion dollars which India can handle given the huge pay offs.

Otherwise be ready to see Kashmir burning when the Talebs turn towards Kashmir after taking over Afghanistan.

Thousand of American troops are staying in Afghanistan to assist ANA, and they announced they will continue drone attacks in militant safeheavens in FATA till 2024.

ANA is already in charge of half of Afghanistan including provinces like Helmand where taliban has huge presence.

.
Even if we deploy troops - how do we plan to supply them??

This is where I disagree, by sending our forces, it would really help the situation. Afghanistanies are looking for some form of closure, and all it requires is giving up the southern border to Pakistan.....

Tribal area in Pak Afagan border is the main problem here. They can't be separated and rules by either govt. as these guies have their own tribe administration and they don't recognise Pak or Afgan.

If India send its troop then we might be able to help but at the cost of our image. And that will give Pak the selling point to Talibs that India will be taking over Afgan in near future and will cause problems for India

The Left-Liberal-Marxist-Secular regime in New Delhi doesn't understand that and they are going to keep themselves in delusion about threat but history has always proven them wrong.
Yu need to go through Afgan History

Any step India takes the result are the same as you are explaining above....

What is new...

This would be a great Strategic value for India.....

That won't be a problem ;) Uncle Sam will be doing that with joy ;)

We can use the old Soviat sate roots or via Iran.

No. It's still complicated. Afganistan is not like ore countries where people fight in sides for some reason. Over all afagan social structure is complicated. It's divided in tribes and fight for it.

And peace keeping force is always a thrown crown. Right now Indian image in general afganistan is good and as a friend. We helped them a lot. And if we sent a force it will ruin that. It's history that Afagnistan don't like forgine forces on their land.

Right now they look Pak as the main čause of trouble. It's in our interest to keep it like that.

A small force under a UN mandate would basically be the UN Peace Keeping Force. Paid for and sustained by UN. Its responsibilities would be very limited and can be related to training ANA as well.

As I said, under UN, its not a big issue, however what the US and all wanted was for India to send its forces separately from UN.

Peace keeping forces are used to keep peace only. No training missions.
AFAIK we are oreads training ANA soldiers and officers.
Even under UN banner it will always be IA. Right now NATO forces are responsible but we actually see and say US forces. Read the news it say after the withdrawal of US when correct word should be NATO.
Deploying force in Afghanistan was/is/will never been in Indian interest. That's why GOI never considered it

Even if India had sent troops it would have been under ISAF. multiple military centers would have been counter productive.

I can see India, China, Russia and possibly Iran supplementing the ANA - maybe with troops too to protect their investments.

And the Americans are phobic to the three important names above.

:) lets see if US is going to hand over Afghanistan to Iran-Russia-China after wasting billions and human resoruce.

:D Through Pakistan or through Iran :D

Why would you think
Tajikistan , Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan won't help ;)

And India and Iran have good relations.
Plus please if India decide to do that Uncle Sam will be doing that over your territory
