I don't think TR is ready yet to open another front...
it's mostly to limit movement of equipment from Manbij to Afrin...

They will be no FSA to help, or at least not enough... so TSK operation alone?
Many is already used in Afrin and the rest... is used to guard their own border with ASSad...Well ther are 20000 FSA fighters and TSK will be enough.
Nice story but lets talk about the real motives of the US in Syria.Read and understand.
1. Russian mission was to secure Assad-led regime of Syria and bombard rebel-held regions to dissuade people from supporting rebels. It did squat against ISIS.
2. US mobilized YPG to counter ISIS on the ground while USAF would pounded its combatants from above (i.e. Operation Inherent Resolve). This was a sound plan but it irked Turkey [understandably].
3. Turkey advised US to utilize FSA against ISIS but US insisted that FSA was lacking in capability and manpower for the job. Therefore, Turkey waited for US-led operation to reach its logical conclusion.
Now that ISIS has been routed from Syria, US and Turkey are in talks [behind-the-scenes] in regards to what to do about YPG.
Contrary to fanboys here and media-related bluster, Turkey does not have the nerve to commit a crackdown on YPG without taking US into confidence about it. USAF shot down Syrian Jets and warned Russian forces to maintain distance when US was utilizing YPG for its mission in Syria.
You will be surprised to learn how much US and Russia have cooperated with each other in regards to developments in Syria. Both established lines of communication for this purpose, and to make sure that USAF and Russian Air Force will not come in each others way.
There is no such thing as Russia and Turkey joining forces to oust US from Syria and dismantle its creations on the ground. They cannot pull this off, contrary to wishes of some fanboys here. Turkey has its strategic calculations [and limitations].
US doesn't give a damn about YPG in the long run. They used it to achieve an end (i.e. Operation Inherent Resolve] and they will abandon YPG, if necessary. Turkey carry more weight than YPG for the US in its strategic calculus.
Countries do not play games like fanboys. Geopolitical developments and interests create strange bedfellows at times.
Perhaps, one day people will learn how much of a joke the entire Syrian chapter turned out to be.
Nice story but lets talk about the real motives of the US in Syria.
First establish a territory to be used as base from where the US can operate at will against any country in the neighborhood when needed.
The US is already preparing one big Airbase and some smaller ones on YPG territory so that they can leave Incirlik Airbase in Turkiye eventually.
Especially Iran and Turkiye are the targets, weaken Turkiye by using the PKK/YPG and in case of an Israëli/US attack on Iran(which is almost eminent) use only those territories from where to operate, looks like the first target is going to be Iran.
Trumps visit to the KSA was one indication of that(the big deals made),the other one being Trumps negative approach to the Nuclear deal made with Iran and not to forget his tweets(more sanctions) about the deal.
The close ties between the Peshmerga and PYD with Israel only shows that this all is just a preparation for the Great ME project of the US and Israel.
So,lest just cutt all this bs about going against ISIS,if you carpet bomb a place, there is no-one to fight and thats what the ''coalition''(US) did,the YPG took over empty cities and villages with here and there some leftover ISIS fighters.
