Micron dips on rumors of Chinese office raids

It may amaze you to know CHINA IS NOT THE BIGGEST RARE EARTH DEPOSIT on earth, that goes to Australia, the only reason why China is the biggest exporter is because Rare Earth Business is notoriously polluting, and money exhaustive if you do care about the environment, hence China can produce it cheaper than most of the world. Imagine if China stop exporting Rare Earth element? Nothing will happens, India and Australia both produce rare earth element. IF they don't buy from China, they will buy from India and Australia or even Vietnam.

Now imagine Intel and Google stop Chinese from using their Licensed products and software, that is what you should start imagine.

The rest of your post is.....Well, no other word for it, disturbed, and not in a good way.

LOL:lol::lol::enjoy:

Venezuela has the largest oil deposit in the world. Guess who export most? Saudi.

Australia has the largest but its not able to extract as many as it wish and the price will be skyhigh rocket. You want the American companies goes bankrupt buying Australia rare earth?

China export most rare earth for the global and the price is the most reasonable. We are right about China controlling rare earth market. If Australia is so wonderful , let me ask you why when the Sino-Japan r/s sour and China restrict the rare earth export to Japan and Japan immediately submit to Chinese? If by your stupid theory, Japan shall import more Australia rare earth and continue go against China? But history dont tells you that. :enjoy:

You keep repeating this nonsense. Is it a flashback from your childhood? Is that what the GI's were hollering when they were raping your mother?

China export most rare earth for the global and the price is the most reasonable.
The chemical weapon-poisoned quasi-human has a point about that, actually. No reason China should supply the world with rare earths, just itself. It should shut down all exports just like it stopped importing trash. Let Australia or whoever else pick up the slack.

I can smell butthurt LOL:enjoy:

Again, I don't mind being called whatever, if you say my mom was raped by GI, then people like that can still get a Chinese passport, what about you? You are even BELOW that. Which said so much about the status. Your status is below someone who's mother was raped by GI, ouch, that must have hurt LOL:D:D

GI don't use NATO phonetic alphabet during Vietnam war by the way. Exactly how dumb are you

lol so paying $1000USD more per TONNES (this is the trading price in commodity market) with Australian Rare Earth will bankrupt the American company whom buying it?

People buy cheap stuff, I will keep buying cheap stuff until I cannot buy them anymore, either they ceased to be cheap or the product ceases to exist, that does not mean there are no alternative of cheap stuff. The topic here by the member is what if China stop exporting its rare earth element. Which did nothing but actually hurting Chinese business. Think about it, before Chinese dominate Rare Earth export, where did the country get their rare earth from? Or before china come into play in the 80s, did every company is bankrupted buying American rare earth and Australian rare earth element in the 40 years perceived it?

Don't be stupid, please.

Trade war does not remotely happened this way....

You know the whole point of the trade war in the American perspective is to reduce the imbalance between China and US, which mean Chinese have more to lose if this slump into a retaliation mode. Because there are WAY more Chinese company depends on American market and technology than the other way around, think about Huawei, and Lenovo for example.

Also, China holding out with Qualcomm /NXP merger only actually hurting Chinese company (NXP share holder) because NXP is struggling to survive and Qualcomm offer is roughly 4 times the net worth of NXP, which is a god send, the longer Chinese government holding out, the more Qualcomm would just established their own base in Asia instead of using NXP's network.

You think America could hurt Chinese economy - Huawei and Lenovo without hurting herself and her Qualcomm, Intel, etc? Learn that the actions will impact both.

Huawei is almost independent from US technology, Longsoon, Shenwei are available in the market now, and Kirin, Surge 2, etc will be ready soon.

The largest market of Automobile, smartphone, chips, steels are China not America.

You know, since last time we talk, you keep saying ZTE would hurt Qualcomm, but not the other way around. Yet, Qualcomm stock have gone up 3 point from 55 to 58 today, and ZTE, well, still busted.

Longsoon, Shenwei is virtually UNHEARD of outside China, Kirin depending on Taiwan SoC.

Just because you have a big market, that does not mean shit, China have the biggest automotive market, so what? Did Chinese car brand even do as well as Japanese or Korean Brand? You live in a delusional world son, better wake up.

But hey, I would say your opinion did not count anyway, you are not a Chinese.

The problem is, American company does not solely invest in China, on the other hand, most Chinese company directed to America. You do the math.

like i've already said before, come back to me when you can dig those rare earths like china, your shiny new factories up and running and new big customer. you're the one that started this imagine crap. talk is cheap.. lolz

imagine losing china as their biggest customer to some of those amelikan chip companies.
imagine many of MIC to amelika are owned by amelikans.
imagine china shutdown factories owned by dell, hp, apple and many other amelikan electronics companies
imagine those amelikan chip makers that sell to those companies.
imagine the cancer. they have chips, but no final products.
imagine some random internet dude imagining only china will get hurt. they can find new big buyer, rare earths, and new factories easily with all the supply chain ecosystems and infrastructure to support like china.
imagine..

jai turd! :enjoy::lol:

lol you are fun to talk to, even though what you said make no sense at all.

India and Australia are close to Chinese level of export if you care to look at the figure since Chinese has enacted a quota for rare earth in early 2010s. China will no longer dominate rare earth material export in the next decade. Talk about stupidity.

Imagine US shut down all the Chinese business in America, and denied any US company to work with Chinese company like they did with ZTE? Don't forget Chinese is the TOP FDI in US, and in value term, almost 5 times US FDI in China, you want to play the shut down game LOL?

Do tell me exactly how dumb are you? :D:D:enjoy::lol::lol:

LOL random internet guy know more economic and finance than you and that is what it's really funny.

?Tu eres bastante bien?

that fdi mostly in property development and entertainment sh1t. buy cheap land, build stuff and sell at high price to dumb amelikans. go ahead and ban 'em. lol. like china give a rat *** if some rich *** zillionaires lose some money

:D

China accounted for over 80 percent of rare earths supply and over 66 percent of global demand in 2017. Environmental inspections, government stockpiling, increased trading activity and demand growth for many rare earths products have all tightened supply this year.

FDI is FDI, it doesn't matter if you are talking about buying home or operate a company, Chinese will lose great if US do what you propose China should do. That is a pure facts.

Your chart is NOT UP TO DATE. Also, I said "In the Next decade"

Australia have several project announced 2016/2017 to push up Rare Earth mineral. 2 Key REO project from WA and Alice Spring are planned to push Australia production to a combination of 700,000 tons of REO, WA project has finished now while the Alice Spring project is schedule to finish in 2020

Northern Mineral in WA, news from 2017.

https://www.australianmining.com.au/news/rare-earth-minerals-project-track-wa/

Northern Minerals plans to conduct a three-year trial, processing 60,000 tonnes of ore per year to produce mixed rare earth carbonate, including dysprosium and terbium.

Arafura Mining in Alice Spring, this news from 2018

http://www.mining.com/900m-australian-rare-earths-mine-given-state-approval/

The new mine located 135 kilometres northwest of Alice Springs is expected to have a life of 35 to 55 years. The mill is designed to produce a maximum 14,000 tonne of total rare earth oxide (TREO) per annum. Arafura is planning to mine up to five million tonnes each year to produce 650,000 tonnes of run-of-mine (ROM) ore as feed to a three-stage crushing circuit. The end products would be sulphuric acid for sale to the fertilizer market, NdPr oxide, lanthanum (La) oxide, and a mixed middle-heavy rare earth (SEG-HRE) carbonate. Arafura is planning to produce 3,600 tonnes of NdPr per year, with first production in 2020.

As you know, 750,000 tons is bigger than 105,000 tons

like i said, china doesn't give a rat@ss about that kind of outbound investment. amelika can go ahead help china ban 'em all like they plan to help china with brain drain problem.

dude, you don't know jacksh1t :D

Dude, you are the one that start talking about ban this and shut down that, when China have approximately 5 times more investment in US than US have invested in China.

US ban China will not help China with brain drain problem. In fact, it will most likely encourage Chinese scientist to leave China and go to the west. Like they did in the 70s and 80s.

Seems to me, you are the one that knows jackshit about anything. And you are clutching the last straw.

ok. come back to me in a decade :enjoy:

I have already said Australia have ramped up production is CLOSED to the level of Chinese production AS OF NOW, today June 5 2018, which is true because the Northern Mine in WA have went into production in April. (Which added 60,000 tons to the already 12,000 tons produced by Australia compared to Chinese 105,000 tons a year), which mean there ALREADY existed an alternative to China REO.

And when the Arafura mine in Alice Spring went into production in 2020, Australia output WILL overtake China, it's that simple.

That's my point. And your knowledge on Rare Earth material are seemingly still in the early 2010 level, which mean if China do what YOU said, stopping REM export to the west, the west can buy from Australia and other nation even AS OF NOW. Which mean what you said mean jackshit to the whole situation.

I don't need to come back in a decade to refute what you said.

Using 80, 90s analogy try compare to 2018 is just plain stupid. I still remember buying mediocre laptop cost USD 2000 in the early 2000s which is made in Singapore or Taiwan that contain many US parts. While most can only afford a desktop. Now Laptop is so cheap and outsold desktop, why? All thanks to China export that include good rare earth price. Nobody wants to go back to prices where laptop cost USD 2000 for a not so high end one.

I am right about China controlling rare earth. Nobody will go for US and Australia rare earth.

Hey, you learn something new every day. Learning is part of what makes one human, and I'm so sorry you were a victim of American chemical warfare and are now too cognitively damaged to learn. Maybe modern medicine can advance to the point where one day even cases as hopeless as yours can be treated.

So, if not the NATO phonetic alphabet, what were the GIs hollering when they were raping your mother?
