Keeping in view the real potential of Pakistan (revenue generation and development and population), all major cities and capital of all provinces should have had rail metros up and running by now.

It means 160 billion pkr ....wtf they are eating commissions in these deals.... What are there priorities.... Sick minded showbaz...

PMLN is only increasing debt of country. This train cost is whole year revenue of Punjab from Provincial Receipts.

will pakistan be building it with its own finances or by chinese investment?

Good thing.. no ifs and buts about that ... my only worry is that the way CTBT are running the show they will drive the government to its knees... i mean taking loans for projects makes sense if its for the overall benefit or development of people but taking loans after loans for public transport only and neglecting other sectors is a worrisome trend.
The way the projects are being st up and are run will only squeeze the fiscal space even more e.g. CM has simply refused to increase the fare for Lahore metro bus at all thus subsidy in millions needs to be given on a daily basis... where as if he only increase the fare by 10 rupees only even then this will not dent the pocket much as public transport fare for the same journey from gujju mata to shadara is 80 rupees++ and from kalma chowk to Minare pakista is 60 Ruppees and for metro is 20 rupees...Increasing fare by 10 rupees only will save 30 million ++ per month (1.5 lakh people per day x 10 x 25 days). The extra amount earned can help decrease the subsidy required.
My point is that the aim should be to make these projects self sustainable...bring in advertisement inside and outside the buses... on stations... give security and fare collection responsibility of metro bus + train to a single company and get a better deal... we simply can not afford constructing some half a dozen multi billion projects on loans and then subsidizing them heavily.
Other sector are being neglected like Food and health..public hospitals are in a pathetic state....people are dying out of hunger... a neglected hungry or a sick person has no morality or sense of responsibility. People need food and health just as they need good transportation at discounted or affordable rates.

loans from IMF
nope... loan from china for metro train

Good project, but looks costly. What route this train will use in Lahore, half of Lahore is already messed up due to metro fly overs.
