acknowledging & appreciating Premiere Modi's achievement in the economic paradigm of the 3d's & "Brand India" policy
that being said ,however differences of opinion should always be respected, it is one of the basic fundamentals & beauty of democracy, therefore having a different point of views doesn't take away the credit & integrity of respected journalist's like Rajdeep serdesai , mrs. Sagarika ghosh, Karan thapar , Siddharth Varadarajan , or for that matter Vikram Chandra ,Shekar gupta or Barkha dutt, they are all journalist that every nation should be proud of, they are shining example's of forward looking, tolerant, balanced & realistic analysis & yes I also support Geo, because by nature I respect the power & integrity of introspections , rather then excuses

no fame is worth its salt , if it only sales one side of the coin

I agree that balance is always required.
But this is not about his opinion.
If you watch the video then you'll see how Rajdeep got personal with the mob.
A journalist asks people and then tells his opinion on the topic or a journalist state some facts about the topic and then give his own opinion but what happened in MSG was different. He was shoving his opinion down the throat of the mob and when he realised that this thing won't have any effect on NRI's he started to get personal with them.

lol.. turns out this trait runs in the family. Even Sagarika Ghose got beaten up in public once!

Diplomat's wife beats up scribe

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, February 16: Journalist Sagarika Ghosh drove into the posh Khan Market area along with her three-year-old son this afternoon to "do a little shopping". But 15 minutes later she was covered with bruises all over her face after an Algerian diplomat's wife beat her up.
Sagarika, who works for Outlook weekly and is the daughter of former Information and Broadcasting Secretary Bhaskar Ghosh, says that she had parked her Maruti car in front of the Algerian woman's Contessa (2 CD 6). An argument began when the latter objected saying that there was very little space for her to drive out of the parking lot.

As Sagarika tried to explain, Abdaoui Abdel Hamid's wife reportedly abused her with a string of expletives. Her husband Hamid, who works as a Counsellor with the Algerian Embassy, was not accompanying his wife at that time.

The infuriated Outlook correspondent reacted to Hamid's accusations saying: "Don't be silly, there is enough space for you."

Hamid then stepped out of herContessa, forced open the door of Sagarika's Maruti and threw her across the road. For the next five minutes Sagarika was at the receiving end of a series of slaps, kicks and punches.

A Police Control Room Gypsy which was in the vicinity did little to cool tempers, even when Sagarika's son kept crying until he was picked up by a good samaritan. The police later said that there were in two minds because "women were involved".

But an enterprising panwallah jumped down from his seat and tried to control Hamid. Other shopkeepers in the area joined in and finally managed to pull her off from the Sagarika. "She is so strong, it was difficult to hold her back," they say. The issue would have ended there, but Hamid went on abusing. "She called us bloody Indians. How can we take that, especially when elections are going on today."

So when Hamid's husband, the police and the media arrived, they were caught up in a wave of patriotism. Residents and shopkeepers refused to let Hamid go until the police registered acase.

They are selective seculars. They are more dangerous than pseudo seculars.

Rajdeep Sardesai sister Shonali is married a Bangladeshi Muslim called Taimur Baig  .... So his ability to hate Hindus and Hidutva probably have some deeper context.
Ohh ho. Ab main bichare ka majburi samjha. He has no choice. Otherwise Sagarika will not allow Rajdeep's sister in the house if she was divorced by that Bangladeshi using the three magical words.

'When Rajdeep assaulted me'

I write this for two reasons: to add context to what is evident from the Zee News video clip
; to avoid a Rashomon like state and rebut Rajdeep Sardesai's attempt to paint himself the victim. He a big fish and has friends in the media, so he may succeed, but my job is to stand up.

Bored standing in the long line to get into MSG, I took a quick stroll and saw much media coverage, including the likes of Chaubey, Sawant and Sardesai. I noticed Rajdeep taunt a group of young Indians: He asked them 'Did Modi teach you to do this?..." i.e. shouting Rajdeep Murdabad.
Watch this video to see how Rajdeep was essentially trying to continue his 12 year hate-work in trying to tarnish the PM. | Video | Full Video: Rajdeep Sardesai heckled by a mob outside Madison Square Garden | World Videos | - India Today. Unable to get the 'negative' answers he's looking for, Rajdeep says 'So what you guys are saying is that the "Media" was unfair to Modi' (this part is not on videos I have seen). I immediately picked up his spin and shot back: Not the media, it is NewsTraders like you who are unfair. And I called him "NewsTrader No.1". This seems to have made him lose his mind: He removed his jacket, and walked over to me (this is the part in the zee news video) and started verbally abusing me ("arsehole" and other threat-cum-abuse). I was surprised at hearing the abuse and his threatening body language given his ever-cool studio self. I retorted with the same epithet. This led to his turning around and attacking me - grabs my collar and shoves me (guess its his privilege in his un-Modified India). I was left with no choice but to push him back.

I would urge people to note 4 things:
1. Rajdeep indulges in unprovoked tarnishing and demeaning of the Indian PM on foreign soil and Indians living there
2. Rajdeep starts the verbal abuse / intimidation
3. Rajdeep starts the physical assault
4. Rajdeep turns around and spins victimhood - 'frenzied Modi fans abuse him'.

Is it even remotely acceptable for a senior Indian journalist to engage in unprovoked insulting of our elected PM on foreign soil while he's on an important diplomatic tour, and wilfully trivialize a unique event (by continuing his political battle with the PM) that allowed the NRI community and the Indian Govt to build a stronger bond?

I believe you just cannot carry your personal battle with your PM onto foreign soil and cause harm to the country.

While I reflect upon what next steps to take, I urge everyone to write to the India Today group condemning such dastardly behavior by their 'senior' employee. I request the media (i have no faith in NewsTraders) to take this message to their viewership.

I reflected much on this since then -- what explains Rajdeep's egregious, shameful and harmful behavior? A apt word in American local parlance sums it up best: He's a Hater.

When Rajdeep assaulted me: When Rajdeep assaulted me

.
Why the supposedly unbiased, truth seeking Indian media not reporting that one of their 'comrades' intentionally spreading hatred against the elected PM of India in a foreign country??.......

Dear Sir, I saw the whole broadcast live. And i can confirm that sardesai instigated this action when the public and the media both refrained from it. Speaks volumes of his intention
