What's new

MBT 3000/ Al Haider reviews, etc.

VT-4 prototypes are being tested to their wits end by Pakistan Army in various settings in Punjab and Sindh for plains and desert mobility, accuracy, hydrographic mobility, Nigh/Fog warfare and temprature tests. We have pictures but are not allowed to post them yet.

These machines are equiped with next generation armor, a powerful engine for high PTWR and 3rd gen optronics along with HEAT, DU rounds and canon fired ATGMs. They are fully datalinked to fight in a NETCENTRIC environment.

These machines 'If passed their tests' will be produced at HIT's Taxila based facility under the title 'Al Haider Main Battle Tank'. They will eventually replace Pakistan's large number of T-5X and T-6X series of Tanks. A proposal to have a common turret with Al-Khalid upgrade was also considered. Looking ahead, Pakistan will be producing Al-Khalid, Al-Zarrar and Al-Haider tanks at home along with a heap of APCs, ARVs and a other LAVs. It will transform Pakistan's armor industry
Are you sure they are being tested ? Dazzler is also saying that Pakistan plans to heavily upgrade Type 85 and @Dazzler Is MBT-3000 being tested

Our next Generation is AK 1 this is not more advance than AK 1 Pakistan is coming up with @Dazzler

Its a drama by HIT officials & cover their failure to market AK properly , Haider / MBT 3000 is not same as AK or AK-1, both AK-1 & Haider are next generations tanks but both are also completely different designs and unlike weight classes.

While Al Haider / MBT 3000 is modular design and can be upgraded as such. If u see the layout of AK series to Haider series they are completely different , different weight class and different configurations of next generation MBTs. AK-1 would be outstanding in its own class, while VT-4 / MBT 3000 / Al Haider will be outstanding in its own league of modular medium-high end tanks....once Pakistan customizes it.

Best is to market AK & Haider differently with different configuration, medium-high end & separate weight classes to niche 21st century tank market meeting different customer needs. This will be great Tank marketing strategy for PA / HIT.

AK is Made in Pakistan design and is the best tank, while MBT 3000 will be turned into Next Gen Al Haider new Pakistani tank which will have its own weight.

Your post clearly shows you have no idea about MBT -3000 and also AK -1 HIT is doing grest work and AK-1 will be shown this year and that is our main Tank not MBT-3000 and MBT-3000 not that advanced as you think our main Tank will be AK-1 and its coming so don't worry @Dazzler @DESERT FIGHTER

Where does Al Haider fits in the equation ?

Why is AK-1 /AK / MBT2000, no ones buying it ?
Bangladesh bought it and Sri Lanka has them and Morroco bought them and Saudis which we thought had refused are again in talks for Al Khalid 1 and MBT 3000 will be our second main battle Tank not first first would be new AK 1 which has lot of parts from Ukraine and west

So Haider would remain same as MBT 3000 / VT4 with Chinese parts?

I thought Chinese Engine in MBT3000 will be replaced with Ukrainian upgraded engines , 1500 HP will be installed on Al Haider MBT to make it customized Pakistani variant for Pakistani terrain in medium-heavy weight class?

The subsystems & softwares will be made in Pakistan for Al Haider MBT...including new turret design for the new Haider.

There will be more Western / Korean systems in Haider due its modular design, which will not remain exclusive an Chinese MBT 3000 systems?

A new A/C and new armour system for Haider MBT.

Generally AK -1 & Haider differ in weight class & configurations.

1500 HP engine would be for AK 1 if not now than eventually but yes some parts of MBT 3000 will be changed according to our needs @Dazzler

@AsianUnion

VT-4 and AK are apples and oranges

True.

Haider & AK separate production & marketing is excellent strategy by PA & HIT.

AK, AZ & AH will grab almost all low-med-high tank industry demands of market as well as full fill its own needs in different terrain with different configuration of MBTs. Clever Strategy.
