This has been happening since 20 years and before that our soldiers were not even allowed to enter Waziristan and the surrounding areas. When General Musharaff sent the army, he was condemned by majority Islamic parties for sending the army. JUI, JI and their allies parties all condemned the army. Issued fatwas against them. Some religious missionary groups have high level influence inside the armed forces/government and are supporters of TTP because for them they are mujahdeen. If you don't believe me read and research when the first attack took place in the tribal areas. Which groups aligned with the militants etc.

Pakistan should have secured the Afghanistan/Pak border, placed mines on it but failed to do so, the consequences were great. Economic loss, live loss. It was like a war zone for us. Again certain powerful people delayed it.

The government should have supported the anti ttp groups in tribal areas but failed to do so, their is actually an anti ttp militant group in tribal areas but army failed to support it. No idea why?
We had so many anti ttp lashkars but they suffered alot. They needed full state support.

I said two drones in each area, plus CH 4 do carry ordinance as well and they can be on the scene in matters of minutes if they are kept airborne. Our boys are not cowards and they do put up a fight and do fight back and each incident does lasts for more then few minutes and that's ample time for angels to arrive. There is something more to match the eye as something's are kept away from us and nation is taken for a ride and taken as fools like politicians are doing it. Its impossible with current finances to supply every soldier with MRAP vehicles but some element of support we can provide. Attackers must be made to pay for the attacks so they don't dare again.

There is a reason 99% attacks have happened in North and South Waziristan. There is a reason majority of leadership of both TTP and PTM is from Waziristan
