Guys I want to start a thread about my new venture I embarked upon 4+ days ago (from May 1 chutti time ....).

Growing a beard. Problem is as a cadet we cannot keep a beard. Unless you are a sardar of course. Now the story is that I am growing a beard for our inter-college festival where we are going to do bhangra.

Now point is, its been 4 days and its looking very dirty. Not filled up well like how the movie stars stubble looks (clean, well shapen).

What to do? I am also not going to class till it grows out enough to look like a beard and I can then put on a turban and go to class.

Please share your beard growing stories. Also, when I shave it off, will I look like a chakka (that's what my friends have shared from their experiences of growing and shaving)?

Need to look at the current position of beard before sharing my precious beauty tip.

Its hardly 1-2 mm man. And even though I never do ulta razor shave, the hairs are not angled properly and uniformly. So chin is really poky (per my girlfriend who is getting me to shave it off).

In that case don't shave it, instead trim it and leave it for a week or so to grow again. You will have to keep trimming it till it gets to point where it can be called beard, for the time being I think its more of a grown shave hair.

Or if this is really urgent than buy a "sooter bomb" from market, light it in a bowl and duck down with your face inside the bowl, the result would be awesome.

I am going to resist my girl friend and keep letting it grow. The bhangra is a month away. I want a manly natural look beard. Not a stylized one.

Right now there's nothing to trim. It just dark. After a week I will trim my sideburns to same length of rest of the cheek hairs to make it merge and make the beard look less like an overgrown stubble.

I dont care for a beard but a mustache is a must. havent shaved it off for 6 months and now i just cant.
