Immigrants are always become target of vote politics.they cross the border and get the "blessing Hands" of the major political parties there..in this way,they never can be send back..thats why we have to stop them before crossing border,just like LOC.this is a burning issue in entire N-E.I wonder why BD never takes much action about it???

You know there are plenty of foreigners in China who have been living here for 10+ years, and they can speak perfect Chinese (in multiple dialects). But they still can't get Chinese citizenship. It's nearly impossible for a foreigner to get Chinese citizenship.

But it looks like India wants to be an "immigration nation", by saying that "Bangladeshi immigrants are Indian citizens".

India has already millions of illegal immigrants from BD.........Thanks to politicians like her and Congress.....Playing vote bank politics......

India needs a strict documentation protocols ....this is too easy to get ration cards , voter ID in India............spend some bucks ...doesnot matter if its 1000 crore ...........just provide highly computerised citizenship documents to all citizens ..........include Birth certificates , land details , education certificate , Pan cards , driving license in it .............it will be extremely difficult for a new pole vaulter to get settled later on.

Also we need strict protocols regarding who can work in India .......make difficult for pole vaulters to get job here .....they will eventually run back

There is a slight difference. Left coalition always enjoyed more than 50% vote percentage where her vote percentage roams around 38-40%.Left always kept their rural vote bank impenetrable. TMC's rural votebank has been cracked. People on a large scale from CPI M and Congress have joined BJP already. And urban and semi urban votes are already in favor of BJP. So, the spirit of invincibility during the communist era is quite missing these days. People are more open to change and are flexible.

Kolkata: Breaking her silence over the Burdwan blast, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of playing communal politics to push out Bangladeshi immigrants from West Bengal.

"The militants came here in 2007. Who was in power then? Not all Bangladeshi immigrants are terrorists. They are very much Indian citizens," she said.

The West Bengal CM aslo said that they will not let the BJP succeed in displacing the migrants from the state. "The BJP had announced before the polls that they will push back all immigrants. We will never tolerate that. Bengal is a land for all faiths. That is our tradition so it shall remain," she said while appealing to people not to allow any kind of communal divide in the state.

Two Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh militants were killed in a blast at a TMC supporter's home in October. The case has revealed an extensive terror network in the area which raised questions against the TMC government.
