@Philip the Arab @padamchen

I think after 2024 Muslim unity will come back again, of course not in full force but at least partly since Indonesia is probably lead by Islamist at that time. AKP could still retain power in Turkey. Algeria will hopefully be in the hands of Islamist leader after next election. Egypt is a big lost for political Islam after Military coup but I think Egypt will once again embrace democracy whether in 2024 or 2030 and ruled by Islamist (Muslim Brotherhood) once again. Libya is divided now but I hope GNA (Islamist) can defeat warlord Haftar as soon as possible. Pakistan is already an Islamic state. Iran is already an Islamic state. etc

The unity can come to live in a form of military and political alliance just like alliance between Turkey and Qatar now in middle east theater or just like Turkey, Iran, Qatar, and Egypt during Mursi short rule in Egypt.

In short, Muslim unity will be easily achieved if Muslim rulers are from Islamist (Political Islam) even though some time nationalist leader may have a sense of Muslim unity just like what Soekarno did during Pakistan India war and Soeharto did during Afghan war and Bosnian war.

Despite so I dont see Malaysia face any threat, it has some dispute with China in South China Sea but I doubt Malaysia will go to war for that.

/facepalm

They're talking about reviving our partnership, over new brotherhood law. Common , fair and strong order. They are not talking that one state must rules over others.

The Islamic cooperation organization is not working. It has no real commercial, military or political effect against states that oppress us. Then we need a new perspective.
im talking about bilateral or trilateral treaties with indonesia and malaysia. just as pakistan has with Bahrain, UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He is above 90.

Its 2019

So in his 90 years, this was an issue he wanted all to know, especially the Muslims, needed addressing. Malaysia has achieved a lot in terms of economic development and human development, but he clearly feels a stronger defense framework is needed. Hopefully Malaysia, under his leadership, will choose a Fighter jet based on the commitment to mutual defense. Buying the JF-17 now, and signing up to the TF-X program would be one solid way for Malaysia to achieve what their PM has laid out.

Pakistan is already a protector of UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Please people stop peddling palpable untruths. USA is the protector of KSA and UAE. This can be seen in the recent events with Iran as that country began to flex and give indirect threats to KSA and UAE. Next the whole world saw how US military began moving air, army assets to UAE and US naval forces began a heightened level of patrols in the Gulf. Did you see Pakistan military being mobilized?

No.

Eventually at some point there will be some alliance. When that happens, will depend on what threat faces the Muslim world at the time. However, there is no questioning that the Muslim countries are more powerful than they were two decades ago. If Pakistan were to successfully test and induct ICBM/SLBM, it can provide a nuclear umbrella to Muslim countries that will naturally invite a military alliance.

Pakistan and the Pakistan Military protect PAKISTAN ONLY. None of the other Muslim nations protect us and we DO NOT protect them either. That is the reality.

There never has been a alliance in the history of of the Muslim world. And there never will be. Rest assured. The only time there was unity was in the first 30 years of Islam and even that was because Islam was limited to small region.

You might as well pray for 'brown man's alliance' or tall peoples alliance or biriani lovers alliance and have more success.

*Yes there will be many groups emerging as have in the past.

Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan in its most desperate times and has bailed it out many times. Whether it's during war, sanctions from nuclear tests, or bankruptcy. Pakistan essentially back-stabbed them by not helping them with Yemen.

Addendum: Even at the height of Ottoman Empire the Muslim world was divided. The Safavid Persian went to war with the Ottomans. Central Asia was riven along khanates, South Asia Moghul Empire for 200 odd years, East Asia had it's own kingdoms.

There has been no alliance because there was no need for an alliance. Much of the Muslim world fell under the caliphate. International borders were drawn by colonial powers as they broke the caliphate apart. There are very clear hadith(s) indicating a return towards caliphate, regardless of how brief it may be. Obviously, Pakistan having nuclear weapons will play some vital role in this.

The divisions were much less than now and of course, all of these empires were monarchy-based.

Saudi Arabia has always helped Pakistan
That is very, very true. KSA and UAE have bailed Pakistan out many times and most recently few months ago. That is many thanks. But while saluting them keep in mind these facts ~

KSA and UAE have helped out USA far, far, far, far, far, far more.
KSA and UAE have helped out India far more.

Pakistan is way low on their list of 'helped out'. So being appreciative but keep perspective.

can you share?
Its the same video i quoted in my post sir. It mentioned Pakistan and you can hear it being translated as well. Though i was not looking to hear the whole thing, i just wanted to know if Pakistan was actually mentioned in meeting between Turkey and Malaysia! It was.
