Long overdue....

China sanction against those western clown are working well.

This is one of these things I think China should do, but not publicly say out loud. You want to reduce their will to fight, not back them into a corner where they must resist. There are significant portion of the Taiwan population that are pro-independence, so essentially this announcement is telling them that they better fight because they will not have a good ending.

Biden’s latest statement; that the US is not encouraging independence and that the Taiwanese people should decide.

This opens up the possibility that China will being new and more all encompassing coercion tactics (carrots and sticks and everything in between) from now on to convince Taiwanese people to reunify with the mainland.

Not only should the DPP pay a price but the people that vote for that party should pay a price too. CPC have gone too easy on these pro-independence separatists for too long.

Too harsh and it will make the people more stubborn. IMHO, China is probably gonna follow the “Afghan Strategy”, working through every element of society from the grassroots (especially influential people in society) to build up support, have their own people inside of all elements and all ranks of Taiwanese life, and flip the script when enough people are with them. It may take a decade or two, but it seems like this is the only way they can say the people decided to reunify and have some claim to legitimacy when or if they need to invade.

Also, if China catches up technologically with all things Taiwan can make (such as the most modern chips), it will diminish Taiwan vital importance to the world, and make its fall more tolerable to other nations.

China is already technologically years ahead of Taiwan. Semiconductor is Taiwan's only claim to fame. The problem is not whether China can use force to unify the country, but whether it can withstand US military and economic intervention along with its allies.

It looks like it is trying to find a way to have its cake and eat it too; take Taiwan under a pretext that doesn’t bring upon it American military intervention or US and allied economic implications. Hence, some kind of coercive strategy that may take decades to unfold or merely years.
