Ershad was from the start of war was interned in W Pakistan. And returned later in 1973. Now it makes sense ''Atke pora Bangali".

@ He (Ershad) did not fired not a single bullet against the enemy. I told you Ershad was the CO of 3 rd East Bengal much before 25 March 1971. The Bengali troops rather the Bengal Regiments and other elements of Rangpur and Saidpur remained to loyal Pakistan till 28 March 1971 and once Pakistan troops started segregating and disarming some of them not all revolted and fled away from Cantonment. None of the Bengali troops of Rangpur Cantonment could come out and many were killed silently in a peace meal. Many were killed after crossing the Railway Tista Bridge on the way to Airport Lamonirhat. Many presumed that they were sent to West Pakistan but reality was completely opposite. Code word was " Joy Bangla me vesh do". So your point does not stands ?

@ In Pakistan he (Ershad) was not interim rather was made the President of Inquiry Committee those who tried to fled from battle field or from Cantonment to India.He was interim-ed in 1972 after the war.
