If they did name it as Lord Hanuman College or Saint Hanuman's in the mode of St Stephens it would not have that much harm instead of having some imaginery person as chairman of the college.
names dont matter but the people working in an institute do.
You are arguing for the sake of arguing.
To be frank, are you the Watchdog for Lunatics International?
If someone is stupid, can you do something about it?
What exactly is the point that you wish to make?
I am sure you are not funding the Institute are you?
If such a thing happened in Pakistan, could you have stopped it? Maybe you could through the infamous Blasphemy Act.
Such an act does not exist in India.
You know brigadier even after retiring having a good hold of many things you still lack courage to see faults with your own people and ills of your society.
First of All the news was published by Indian newspaper. Do you know why ????
Beacuse Journalism dosnt means always talking about wars or polictics.
One of the qualities of a news also include human intrest. This news is of human intrest on two counts.
1. It is realy amazing and stupid even for the people of the same faith to have someone as chairman of a college or a university that too awards Engineering degrees.
How on earth someone ( a phenomenon) will solve the problems of students or even university affairs, who doesnt exist in the first place.
You can say you will have God's blessing but to say we are having an imaginery god as chairman of an institute who is suppose to run the affairs of that institute.
2. The newspaper by publishing this story has tried to fulfill its duty by informing the masses about the quality of this institute so that they should use their brains inteads of b----to send their childern for education to that institutes.
Retirement does not change anyone perspective and I hardly require someone of your standing to teach me courage. And youth I perceive does not in anyway induce brains or logic.
Journalists, be they Indian, Pakistani or of any other nation in the world have an agenda and are in the grips of those who finance the papers. They have to pander to their views. Or else, all newspapers would have been the same in content and commentaries. I thought it is no secret and even journalists are aware of it. How is it that you are not aware?
The newspapers have to also fill their space and in today's context, sensationalism and gossip are the by word. Try any newspaper of the world excepting possibly some highbrow ones and you will find mindless sensationalism and gossip and more dangerous, unfound speculation. In fact, the journalists, since they are the sole ones who have access to the print vehicle, have fond delusions that they are the Kignmakers and the world beaters. A false and vainglorious attitude.
I find it odd that I have to state axioms to one who claims to be a journalist!!
As far as this education institution that has caught your fancy, am I to understand you are seriously concerned about it? Are you seriously worried about the education of the Indian youth? Have you shown the same enthusiasm for those poor madrassa youth too? If so, why don't you start a campaign in India to show its folly? What stops you? or are you the one who is afraid to face the truth and instead take the cover of the nameless and faceless internet to pursue some hidden agenda?
