Afghan border- Peshawar to Islamabad motorway which from the border goes over the mighty Indus then goes to Islamabad. At about 0.20 goes over the Kabul river. At about 2.48 over the Indus River.

That's where motorway joins the link road ... The real M2 actually starts from the toll plaza (as you already know)..

Lhasa-Nyingchi Highway under construction

With a total length of 409.2 kilometers, Lhasa-Nyingchi Highway starts in Newu District, Lhasa City and end in Bayi Town, Nyingchi County. It is four lanes wide and is designed to be 80 kilometers per hour. The static investment is estimated to be 38 billion yuan RMB.

At present, parts of the Lhasa-Maizhokunggar section has been covered with asphalt and it is planed to be totally completed by the end of June.

To limit access is the key to maintain high speed, for example 100-120 km/h. Great achievement in Sri Lanka!
