London attack: Terror threat level upgraded to 'critical' as Theresa May puts soldiers on streets

Oh I am a male.
Ahahahah......something should be done about this convenient situation then. :D

How does it matter that you are a female? We are talking about your country's ability to do something about a situation that you created in the first place. Your answers are about right; that's what effectively we have to hear, that you sat around and fiddled with your never-ending cups of tea while somebody did whatever they wanted to right under your collective nose.

And now, you claim you don't know where they are, though the rest of the world knows; you don't know who speaks to them, only the rest of the world hears that; you don't know where they gather, and this in the country with the greatest surveillance set-up, bar none, in the world, with CCTV looking up, looking down, looking sideways, looking everywhere while the people reviewing the tapes don't seem to have a clue. You don't know when they leave and for where, until somebody gets his head sawed off in slow motion on camera. And, of course, even with your tabloids eavesdropping on anyone and everyone who might make salacious copy, the last thing in the world that your dozy lot know is what the terrorists you grew have been discussing.

It's nothing to do with faith. I don't do Islam-hating; that's reserved for your yobs. You did a pretty incompetent job with other faiths, and its this utter incompetence that is under the spotlight; whether Irish Catholics or Muslims of every flavour or variety, you get them hating you and the rest of the western world and then blowing up whoever they get to blow up, and when that doesn't work, it's people's vehicles as weapons, or bombs on the Tube, or knives in someone's back.

You wouldn't know about that, about people getting killed, at home, and worse, in other places that you keep well-staffed with misfits and sociopaths that you have bred and nurtured. But then, you're female. How WOULD you know?
What are you on about?
How do you want her "to do something about it"?

What are you on about?
How do you want her "to do something about it"?

Why is everyone obsessed with the idea that she, individually, was asked to do something about it?

Let me reprint the beginning of one of my posts - might help:

Well, do something about it, then, don't just sit there mumbling into your beard. You know where they are, you know where they gather, you know who speaks to them, you know when they book tickets, or buy stuff for IEDs, and when they speak to each other, and what they say - what's stopping you?
I am pretty sure most civilians dont have access to communication and transactions of criminals unless they put their lives on the line

Agree 100%. They even made TV documentaries about the guys, the media gave them total airtime. I remember reading something written by a person who deals with media for the British Muslim Council. These Al Muhajiroun extremists had 10-12 supporters and the police would allow them to pray jummah on the road, outside of a masjid they were banned from entering. These guys would wait until all the namazi were leaving the masjid after jummah and then when there was a crowd of people outside they would stand in the road in front of them protesting and threatening the UK. The journalists would also wait for this moment before taking pictures. Nobody wanted to show a dozen or two loners, they wanted to portray it as a big deal.

Today civillians are reaping the ill-rewards of what the government sowed to malign Muslims and bring in Draconian laws they use to curb liberty and freedom for everyone.

Why put it up to critical AFTER an attack?

You may as well keep it at critical until you sort out the hate preaching at mosques, the division creating at schools and the radicalization in prisons; all whilst the doors to the UK are flung open.

Let me in on a tip for spotting an extremist. They will tell you the masjids are compromised and the imams and commitees are on the payrolls of the government. It is a well known technique of terrorist sympathisers when grooming their victims - they isolate them from the masjids. There is no hate preaching in masjids, there might have been 25 years ago in some of the wahhabi masjids in London but times have changed. This all now happens on the internet and privately - away from other influences. In some cases these people will even by addicts drugs to get them onside.

Prime Minister announced Operation Temperer would be going into effect meaning troops will be deployed to the streets

Theresa May has announced the security services is raising the terror threat level from "severe" to "critical" and there will be military on the streets in the coming days.

The Prime Minister announced Operation Temperer would be going into effect which means armed troops will be seen on the streets in response to the terror attack on Parsons Green Underground station on Friday morning.

"Critical" is the highest threat level possible on the terror rating system devised by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) and means an attack is imminent.

In a televised statement, Ms May said: "For this period, military personnel will replace police officers on guard duties at certain protected sites that are not accessible to the public.

"The public will see more armed police on the transport network and on our streets, providing extra protection.

"This is a proportionate and sensible step which will provide extra reassurance and protection while the investigation progresses."

It was last put into effect following the Manchester Arena bombing which killed 22 people in May.

Scotland Yard's Assistant Commissioner for Counter-Terrorism Mark Rowley said in another televised statement that they would deploy an extra 1,000 armed officers on the streets of London.

He said to expect to see additional police, additional stop and searches and additional road checks in the coming days.

Witnesses reported seen an explosion and a flash of orange flames as a District Line Tube was about to leave the station in west London at 8:20am.

At least 29 people have been treated in hospital for flash burns and others were injured in the stampede to escape the above ground station but NHS England said no one is said to be in a serious condition.

Footage from the incident showed a burning plastic container in a shopping bag with black, white and red wires coming out of it.

Ronald and Penelope Jones, whose house in Sunbury-on-Thames was raided by armed police this morning, were both honoured by the Queen in 2009 for services to children and families.

According to an interview with Elmbridge CAN, a community group which aims "to build a culture of welcome to refugees" and help settle them in the local community, the couple have been foster parents for almost 40 years and in that time they have taken in 268 children, the last eight of which were refugees.

In the interview Mrs Jones said fostering "had its ups and downs", adding: "They're all children, it doesn't matter if they're sky blue or with pink dots on them - they just need to be loved."

Neighbours have described 88-year-old Ronald and 71-year-old Penelope as "beautiful people".

Speaking to the Daily Mail, a friend of the couple said: "To say they are gutted is an understatement.

"For this to happen, after all the kids they have fostered, and for it to ruin everything... questions have to be asked about what checks were made and who decided to place him with them."

Nicola Ryder, who lives opposite the Joneses, said she knew them as Penny and Ron and that the couple would sometimes foster up to seven young people at a time.

Meanwhile longtime family friend Serena Barber, 45, said that the Joneses had fostered dozens of children.

She said: "Penny's a wonderful foster mother. She takes everyone, she doesn't turn anyone away."

Residents of Cavendish Road in Sunbury-on-Thames were told to evacuate their homes early on Saturday morning as armed police carried out an operation in connection with the explosion on a tube train in Parsons Green, which left 30 people injured.

Those people who live close to the property that has been raided were told to make alternative arrangements for Saturday night.

Zane Evans, 24, had come with his mother-in-law to help her collect some belongings from inside the cordon.

He said: "She was told that she might be allowed home by midnight but she has decided to stay with friends tonight.

"I think lots of people have decided the same thing."

Some residents were escorted back to their homes by police so that they could gather belongings, while others in the outer cordon were allowed to return home shortly after 8pm.

They were told once they were in their houses they must stay there unless absolutely necessary, and sign in and out of the cordon until it was lifted if they had to leave.

The news comes after an 18-year-old was arrested at the port in Dover on Saturday morning in connection with the west London attack yesterday.

The man remains in custody at a local police station and will be transferred to a south London police station soon.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, Senior National Co-ordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, said: “We have made a significant arrest in our investigation this morning.

"Although we are pleased with the progress made, this investigation continues and the threat level remains at critical.

“The public should remain vigilant as our staff, officers and partners continue to work through this complex investigation. We are not, at this time, changing our protective security measures and the steps taken to free up extra armed officers remain in place.

“This arrest will lead to more activity from our officers. For strong investigative reasons we will not give any more details on the man we arrested at this stage.

Sad indeed.

The Syrian refugee arrested over the Parsons Green bombing appeared to enjoy smoking weed and drinking vodka as part of his 'very westernised' life. Yahya Faroukh, 21, was arrested (left) on Saturday night outside Aladdin's Fried Chicken in Hounslow where he worked. On his Instagram he wrote about 'smoking weed every day' and posted an image saying:

'For better life you need to have weed, vodka and drugs.'

Other pictures show him dining with friends (right) with cigarettes on the table and smoking shisha in a bar
.

Seems these kids are hell bent on revenge for what the west did to them.

Tony Blair
