We are very much part of the Kerala and India society and yes Christians in Kerala have a lot of customs and practices which resonates the local culture. Not just Christians, the Hindus, Muslims even the minority Jews have a lot of customs unique to Kerala. And I bet you will also have the same, 1relative to your nation and province. Yet it is hilarious if anyone ever consider you isolated just because of that. LOL

It is a misunderstanding that the abaya/burqa is in anyway Islamic. It has more to do with the Jewish religion than Islam.



As far as I know, the burqa was not much present in India until the mid-90's. And then the Tableeghi Jamaatis took over the young male Muslim mind.

Yes indeed. I am from chennai and even when in left India in early2000s you cpuld hardly find ladies in black. But now it's a. Common sight in Chennai.
While there is nothing wrong with that you can see the demographics are changing. My communjity is dwindling due to migration and due to having only 1 kid.what to do.
