Was going through the list. Some surprises for me there. Surprised to see bangladesh mentioned along with african countries.

A least developed country (LDC) is a country that, according to the United Nations, exhibits the lowest indicators ofsocioeconomic development, with the lowest Human Development Index ratings of all countries in the world. The concept of LDCs originated in the late 1960s and the first group of LDCs was listed by the UN in its resolution 2768 (XXVI) of 18 November 1971.[1] A country is classified as a Least Developed Country if it meets three criteria:[2][3]

• Poverty – adjustable criterion based on GNI per capita averaged over three years. As of 2015 a country must have GNI per capita less than US $1,035 to be included on the list, and over $1,242 to graduate from it.
• Human resource weakness (based on indicators of nutrition, health, education and adult literacy) and
• Economic vulnerability (based on instability of agricultural production, instability of exports of goods and services, economic importance of non-traditional activities, merchandise export concentration, handicap of economic smallness, and the percentage of population displaced by natural disasters)

Bangladesh hasn't surpassed GDP per capita of $1242 yet.

North Korea is often missing from these list because there is no reliable information for them. The IMF and World Bank for example, don't even list North Korea on their GDP by country lists for that reason.

It's all relative in my opinion, for example Bhutan may have a lower GDP per capita but scores well in almost all other social indicators, So it's unfair to put them in least developed category solely based on the GDP

How is Bhutan least developed , 8/10 I would prefer to live in Bhutan than most EU countries.

It sounds pretty shameful simply because it is but now Pakistan should request to be put on LDC as it meets most of the criteria. The LDC is to support countries that are in a mess and well Pakistan is in a mess right now.
