LAHORE
Police sources said that the sketch had been prepared in light of the interrogation of all the four security guards and driver of Dr Warren, said to be former consultant to the White House during Bush Administration. A joint team of the investigators are grilling more than 13 suspects but, according to police sources, they have failed to get any solid lead to trace the whereabouts of the 70-year-old US national.
The police issued sketch of only one of the eight to ten kidnappers because all others were wearing masks to conceal the faces. Police said that the bearded kidnapper is about 23 to 25-year-old youth. On the other hand, the police have sealed the residence (49-J) of the victim in the posh Model Town Area after a team of officers from the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) visited the crime scene and examined the entire house. Further investigations are underway.
Agencies add: Police said they would carry out lie-detector tests on security guards and a driver of a US aid expert kidnapped from his home in the provincial metropolis.

Warren Weinstein, 70, country director for US-based consultancy JE Austin Associates, was snatched at gunpoint before dawn on Saturday. Police have so far drawn a blank over the kidnapping which saw Weinstein - who has been in Pakistan for seven years - struck on the head with a pistol and driven off. We have decided to conduct lie-detector tests on the security guards and the driver to verify their statements given to investigators, senior police official Atif Hayat told AFP.
From today, we will start their screening. We are also interrogating the security company officials responsible for his security, Hayat said. We are questioning all those who had been serving at his office in the past, he added.
Meanwhile, officials said the relocation of abducted US national Justin Warner to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region was highly possible. Authorities, however, said they had not uncovered the motive behind the crime. Up until now, we are treating it as a simple kidnapping case. ... We are confident we will recover him soon, Rana Sanaullah, Provincial Law Minister responsible for security affairs told Reuters.
The American embassy in Pakistan has offered its forensic teams to help with investigations. Sanuallah implied that Weinstein was a spy. The American has been living in Model Town for the last five or six years, using the ground floor as an office and the first floor as a residence.
Weinstein had been due to return to the United States on Monday after concluding his contract on private-sector development and economic growth in Pakistan.
There has been no claim of responsibility and the most officers have been able to establish is that he was targeted because of his nationality.
Washington this month revised its travel warning, saying that Americans throughout Pakistan have been kidnapped for ransom or for personal reasons.
