The army isn't a political party. Even young man with a critical background won't dare to disobey any kind of order. Things like the general atmosphere, social pressure, hard regime, discipline, political environment, solid presence of the state etc. are usually extremely successful factors when it comes to exerting discipline over people who aren't exactly friendly towards the state.
