Landing Craft Utility Ship Launched at GRSE

Why GSRE still building such ships?
This type of ship constructions should be given to GSL or private shipyards.
Also Follow on Waterjet Fast Attack Craft ...
GSRE is buiit's already ships & we say our shipyard are full.

As this production comes to an end , GRSE will move to producing P17A and P28/As on primary basis.

GSL had a recent upgrade to capacity of building 6,000Tons ships, so I think it will take time to build more ships, its already building OPVs for Navy and coast guard.MDL is expanding its capacity to build more submarines and destroyers.

HSL will do the repairs , LHDs and Arihants.
CSLwill do the Aircraft carriers, while L&T AND PIPAVAV are largely unbooked now.

Yes you are correct , we do not havee our shipyards even 50% full.

LCUs & Follow on Waterjet Fast Attack Craft require less technological skill so these must have been given to private shipyards, Pipavav delayed NOPV because Initially a contract was signed with Severnoye (Northern Dockyards) Ship Design Bureau located at St Petersburg, Russia but negotiations broke down over differences on pricing and was terminated.
& we know L&T supplied many ships to Coast Guard ahead of schedule.
Even work on FOWJFAC was started in 2015.
