A massive news for Pakistanis, According to the Tribune , China is conducting the exercises at LAC with PA.
They are not talking about LoC but LAC. That is a new development. China and Pakistan planning something big!!

In a new development along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), China and Pakistan are conducting a joint military exercise in Tibet. It has two-pronged goals — targeting warships, besides launching land attack from sea; and honing air-defence skills to target enemy aircraft, missiles or UAVs.

The exercise comes in the backdrop of a recent move of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), which has, for the first time, integrated its units with air-defence assets with PLA-Air Force (PLAAF) along the LAC.

The exercise, which reportedly started on May 22, is scheduled to end in the middle of this week.

China and Pakistan often exercise together. This year, the drill comes in the backdrop of around 1-year military standoff between India and China in eastern Ladakh. The number of Pakistan troops taking part in the exercise is not known. From the Chinese side, troops of the 3 Air Defence Division are participating in it.

In the run-up to the exercise, the PLA conducted a pre-exercise training for the Pakistan army at Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan.

Pakistan already uses some of the missiles being used in this exercise. For India, this means that similar arsenal could be on board PLA navy and Pakistan navy warships. Moreover, Indian pilots, drones and missiles could face similar threats and counters on both borders.

Indian security establishment is aware that the Chinese low-to-medium altitude air-defence system, also known as LY-80, is being used. This is a medium-range surface-to-air defence missile system with around 150-km range. It can intercept and destroy aerial targets flying at low and medium altitude. The second set of missiles being used in the exercise are SM-6, Eagle anti-ship cruise missiles (better known in military circles by their numbers — YJ-81, YJ-82 & C-802). C-802 is the export version of YJ-802 land attack and anti-ship cruise missile with a range of 120-150 km. The C-802 anti-ship missile can also be launched from a fighter jet. Tibet has several lakes and water bodies where dummy ships are placed for target practice.

Meanwhile, the PLA has changed its defence tactics along the Line of Actual Control. The PLA air-defence units in its western theatre (Tibet & Xinjiang) form a combined air-defence control system. At least 10 PLA units in the western theatre have been integrated for sharing inputs on early warning and combat readiness.

The Chinese are obviously trying to hide the Tibetan Sea and the fleet of PLAN warships that are deployed there...just like how they tried to hide the 40+ soldiers that were killed by Indian Sunny Deol soldiers.

Thanks to Indian media shining a light on this...the Chinese can't hide such things anymore.

I think the writer has tried to answer that Question of Tibet having no sea,

Banerjee meant to say that the missile variants have dual usage.
Being an Indian he got many things wrong like the range of 150 Km. LY 80 has 40 km range.

You have to be consistent. Otherwise, you will cement my and many's perception that this forum is run on the basis of "who is who".

What should be happening is that we all should be finding out if there are any such exercises conducted on LAC by Chinese and Pakistan!! After all this is a defence forum, these sort of news should be shared and discussed.

bhai you can yourself search Chinese were doing military exercise in Tibet region sometime back and they did more than one time after India-China border clashes ..... but all the exercises were their internal exercises, Pakistan Military was not part in any of those exercise.

So this articles is rubbish to the extent that I would say Toilet paper wort more than the article under discussion ....

I would ignore this propaganda and now not comment on this anymore, but it is up to you to discuss it If you want but that would be a futile exercise.

bhai you can yourself search Chinese were doing military exercise in Tibet region sometime back and they did more than one time after India-China border clashes ..... but all the exercises were their internal exercises, Pakistan Military was not part in any of those exercise.

I shared it because it sounded important topic , we all know the Indian media bias and unprofessionalism.
Like I said, most of their sources could be and would be useless. But they still get shared on this forum.

One thing is going amiss on the forum participants and also management of this forum. Indian propaganda had been winning for a very long time in the world. So much so that not many countries are willing to criticise anything Indian.

While Pakistan despite may be more authentic than India has lost badly in the world. Completely wrong perceptions are created in the world about Pakistan, while Pakistanis especially its media had been sleeping on the job.
I not only have reservations about this approach by Pakistanis in general, but I also very annoyed and angry that why Pakistanis do not respond to the Indian BS!!
