Kpk : City Patrol Force to serve as first responders

Yesterday i was caught by two punjab police corolla cars which is a PRU kind of force , when they came to know i am smoker they tried there level best to find a joint of hash from me but they failed to do so ,, my question is giving police 1.8 million pak rupee cars just for checking hash and joints lol i hope so kpk police will not do such activities as i have no bad experience with them up to date wish kpk best of luck

Two corollas on different locations they wasted 1 hour on checking each and every part of my jeans and car but i already smoked the hash and told them you are wasting your and mine time but nooo punjab police thinks hash is more dangerous than the robbers , terrorists and rest of criminals mofos

the guy in the first pic is just posing and wouldnt be able to shoot in this position, the vizer of his helmet prevents aiming and proper shouldering of his firearm and who in his right mind would use a riot helmet during building clearance (which i assume he is doing)

The helmets you see aren't riot helmets,but heavy and bulletproof helmets with a protective glass,the same kind of helmets used by the GIGN and other elite units.

Oh my bad, but ballistic glass or not the glass is going to **** up with posture, aiming, breathing and is going to fog up especially after running up a few flights of stairs in CQB, I personally would never wear one in combat.

Sindh Government should introduce such type of forces in Karachi , This will help decrease all type of crimes .

They are not gonna chase BMWs, Ferraris or other luxury. Probably 70cc/125cc bikes or toyota hilux old models/bolan vans/700 cc Suzuki Mehran will be the targets, so 1300 cc is more than enough.

Its not about chasing BMW's, ferraris etc.

If you know a bit about cars, you will realise that increasing weight affects suspension, engine parts and fuel efficiency straightaway. This makes maintenance interval shorter too. Mobility will obviously get affected ad you keep adding weight.
On top of that you will have 4 fully armed policemen sitting in the car.

The Gross Vehicle weight of swift is 1480 KG's. The minimum protection level will add 450 KG's while the maximum protection level will add 680 KG's to this weight. Its acceleration in all gears will be killed.

The vehicles like Land cruiser etc which are made Bullet proof usually have 200+ hp, V-6 or V-8 and 4200-4700 cc engines. That's why they can handle the extra weight.

smart phone camera and swift will definitely serve purpose. Budget is equally important.
Very nice initiative indeed by kpk govt.
Anyways howz dolphin squad doing?

These cars will not have standard shock absorbers. Manufacturers provide higher spec suspension for these cars. I doubt that KPK Police have bought off the shelf cars. These may have slightly higher output engines as well, if not a higher displacement engine as well.

That's what I said ;

Over here,first responders from the Police and Gendarmerie have been told to be the first to mount an assault in case of an attack,and now are having their cars equipped with plate carriers,heavy helmets,group shields,assault rifles...

These are more like SWAT?

The OPs post is similiar to the Turkish dolphin force... which also served as an example for similiar services throughout Pak:

Regular police forces. Probably none of them have ever got any assault rifle in their hands. They had to undergo intensive training.

As a matter of fact,they are receiving even more heavy equipments.
By the 1st January,the police forces will receive ;

-440 new HK-G36s.
-8.000 bulletproof helmets with glass.
-21.700 plate carrier vests.
-4.730 shields.

SWAT teams are different.

Pakistani Police was always trained on Assault Rifles but they need more training specially for urban areas and also gadgets and safety equipment like Bullet Proof and better helmets and pads

In case of emergency helicopter will also be used.

This unit is for handling street crimes,thefts + to deal with other scenarios excluding terrorist,hostage like situation...

for terrorists there is another special combat unit !!

The special combat unit was raised on the directions of the Inspector General of Police Mr. Nasir Khan Durrani (PSP) and inaugurated by Mr. Pervez Khattak, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 19th August, 2014. The unit is equipped with sophisticated weapons and its mandate is to handle major crises like hostage situations and terrorist attack on sensitive installation.

This unit comprises best of the elite personnel who have undergone additional nine months rigorous training in all modern warfare tactics including para-trooping, heli-repelling and water borne operations. The training of heli-repelling was conducted by Special Services Group of Pakistan Army and watermanship training was conducted by Pakistan Navy. The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Nasir Khan Durrani (PSP) awarded them the insignia of Jaguars on 4th June, 2014.

SWAT teams alone need a major overhaul of their equipments from what I see. Should have group shields,new helmets (possibly ops-core),new body armors with integrated MOLLE or Laser Cut MOLLE systems,newer weapons with scopes...
