It is because the Chinese motive is linking developed countries such as Korea and Japan while axe out Vietnam because Vietnam simply poor country. Chinese consider Vietnam as South East Asian because, the Chinese thinks SEA = poor, backward while East Asian = developed and that included China, (though the fact China is not developed, is developing instead).

You are being too sensitive and paranoid lol. East Asia refers to geography, so that's why Vietnam, located in Southeast Asia, is usually excluded. Don't mix geography and culture up. If you're referring to the the cultural region, it's actually called the 'Sinosphere', based on a common Confucian + Hanzi heritage.

Anyway, no one is saying Vietnam is not part of the Sinosphere. But you of all people should know there are marked cultural gradations in Vietnam. Northern Vietnam is a lot more Confucian than Southern Vietnam, which has a more Khmer Jungle flavor.

It's known facts that East Asians dislike each other, but however all of these admit that we share similar cultures. VNese are a mixture of East Asians and South East Asians, even culturally. You guys simply hate China for it's size and success.
