Kerala Muslims now sponsoring sacrificial meat for needful in north India

Do you have any obsessions with toilets??....dreaming about toilets all the time??..
Gods won't provide you food or living, but money,yes...You should do work to earn money..

I strongly believe stupidity should be countered with some more stupidity. That is the best way to treat your Nerumb rhogam.

If India bans cow slaughter in North India, Pakistan should open up a special visa for those who want to eat those exotic dishes in Lahore. I will be opening a hamburger place at Wahgah :D

What an uncivilized way to celebrate a festival.

Animals are cut and meat is distributed.

What a stupid way to look at it!

Naturally you will find stupid in my post. Sacrifice means sacrifice something of our own and not cutting the head of others. Naturally these sacrifice tradition is now been extended to beheading of Human beings.

Need to be modern. Inject weird things into cows and breed them selectively. Then throw the cows in one of those shredding machines, mix their meat up with horse meat, package it up, sell it to the masses.
Congratulations!
You are now civilized!

Bla bla bla - We don't waste anything from the animal, even the skin is used for leather production. Stop confusing scrife with ''ritual sacrifice''. We consume every bit of the animal, even its bones!

So brutally killing innocent domesticated animals is not uncivilized ?

Killing them and eating the dead is civilized ?

Funny way to look at life.

Just because you want to live off cabbage and broccoli doesn't mean everyone is going to. Human beings evolved to eat, process, digest and draw strength from eating meat. If you don't want to eat meat, there is no need to go ga ga over those who do.

Animal sacrifice is very much a part among south Indian Hindus too.maybe it is a custom that has continued from ancient Dravidian animistic tribal religion to the present day.we sacrifice sheep, goat or chicken on the 9th day after a persons death.we also spill the blood of an animal like goat before entering a new house.we also sacrifice goat to big vehicles like cars and lorries.besides ,animal sacrifice is done for many non brahmanical gods and goddesses like ellamma, pochamma etc.Any animal sacrifice related to any religion is barbaric, tribalistic, uncivilised in my opinion.

It is unreasonable to expect civilized people to give equal social respect to barbarians.

I am an south India and a dravidian and I have never done anything remotely barbaric as that. Nor does my culture or religion teaches me to do so.

You have to be more specific about who exactly practices such things. Which Tribe, which community ?

Again I repeat, I am from Kerala which is in South India and I have never heard or seen any such practice.

Are you saying people from Telengana do it ? I have lived in Hyderabad for 4 years and have never seen it.

Why do you keep saying "brahmanical tradition" ? There is no such tradition. There are Hindu traditions, and there are tribal traditions and there are traditions of mixed culture.

@Chak Bamu - Read this "Any animal sacrifice related to any religion is barbaric, tribalistic, uncivilised in my opinion." and other gems on this topic here in this thread. You now understand what I was trying to tell you in the other thread? Who has invited him to make these ridiculous comments? Nobody has, but he still made nonsense comments, and he and his likes will continue to make such ridiculous comments regardless. Millions of animals are slaughter around the world including India but thats fine with them, when it happens in the name of religious practice, they start suffering with hysteria for animal love. Streets choking with stray dogs, pigs, rats, monkeys, cows is all civilized, and urban, but sacrificing animals and that too for consumption is barbaric, tribalism, uncivilized etc. You really expect to get into positive, productive, and sane discussion with such posters?

....... Animal sacrifice organised at Mangottukavu
By Our Staff Reporter
PALAKKAD, APRIL 25. The annual sacrifice of animals was organised at the Bhairavan temple located on the Mangottukavu Bhagavathy temple campus at Athipotta, near Alathur, here today.
As many as 50 goats and 100 chickens were offered and the meat distributed to the devotees. Most of the devotees who sacrificed the animals are said to be from Tamil Nadu.
Swami Bhoomananda Teertha of the Hind Navodhana Pratishtan sent a complaint to the District Collector and Superintendent of Police on Saturday, demanding that the sacrifice be stopped.
Swamy Bhoomanda told The Hindu over the phone that animal sacrifice in the temples in Kerala were banned several decades back. "The
abolition of animal sacrifice in Hindu temples is a law in force in the State. The district authorities should have enforced it, but they failed to do so. I feel hurt over the failure of the district administration to stop this cruelty," he said. They should not have allowed the cruelty to happen.
He said that the matter would be again taken up with the district administration and the State Government.
The district administration and the police had made elaborate arrangements to prevent any
untoward incidents on the temple campus. The police were deployed in strength in front of the temple....
