Kashmiri students, who were slapped with sedition charges by Uttar Pradesh (UP), have turned down Pakistan’s offer to study in its universities.
After the BJP on Friday criticised the UP government for withdrawing sedition charges against students from Kashmir, the frightened students have also rejected the idea of going back to Meerut.
On Thursday, 67 Kashmiri students were suspended and slapped with sedition charges for supporting Pakistan’s cricket team.
“We are thankful to Pakistan for their statement but we don’t want to go to Pakistan,” said Musadiq Rafeeq, a second year BBA student of Meerut’s Swami Vivekanand Sub-harti University. “Our only demand is that we should be allowed to continue our study in Kashmir. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has done so much for us by forcing the UP Police to withdraw the sedition case. He should do a bit more (and ensure migration to a state university),” he added.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq sought the intervention of South Asian countries and the Organisation of Islamic Countries asking them to open up their institutions for Kashmiri students to allow them to study in a “bias-free atmosphere”.

Neither they want to continue studies at MWVSU, they want migration to their state university.

Why didn't he specifically mentioned Pakistan for intervention? No one would have thrashed him in the valley for that.

These kashmiri guys are full of hatred, dont want them in my country at all tbh

Maybe they know how to differentiate a game from their studies....where they support a team but doesnt mean they want to cross the border....They just like a team...Get over it Indian!

This is hilarious: Organisation of Islamic Countries asking them to open up their institutions for Kashmiri students to allow them to study in a “bias-free atmosphere”

You mean those Islamic countries where religions other than Islam are openly treated with discrimination, and where Islamic clerics are given full freedom to preach harted against non-muslims?
We have thousands of masjids in india. How many temples do you have in Saudi Arabia?

Or maybe his idea of a "bias-fee atmosphere" is one where Hindus are murdered and driven away, like his Kashmiri Sunni chums did in the valley.

And incidentally, these students should consider them lucky. Imagine a Hindu in Pakistan openly supporting India.

Who the hell want to join Pakistan university on the cost of Indian one???

Not even beloved Kashmiri

Liking a team and shouting for a nation are two different things .... they crossed limit and faced the well deserve situation after that.

Well then only thing to assume is they were threatened and so turned down the offer? :pop:

OIC is not only Saudi! So the joke really is on you :enjoy:

Secondly OIC Organisation of Islamic Countries ..the name alone speaks volumes so it is supporting its people! Like how Hindu groups come marching out for no reasons every now and then...Its a request to secular India...so how is it funny?

  they want to continue their studies in Kashmir not in UP so why they feel threatened ??
