KARACHI: Fifteen people lost their lives in Karachi whereas police claimed to have arrested 37 suspects in separate actions during the past 24 hours, DawnNews reported.

A person was killed in Jaffar Tayyar Society in the early hours of Sunday.

A person belonging to a sensitive security agency died of gunshot wounds during a police raid conducted in Natha Khan Goth area. Fear and panic gripped the area after the killing and enraged residents forced shops in the surrounding vicinity and Drig Cant market area.

Some eye witnesses claimed that some the attackers who had arrived with the police were dressed in civilian clothing and had their faces hidden.

A policeman was also reportedly killed in the incident.

Relatives of the deceased demanded the arrest of all personnel involved in the police raid.

A heavy contingent of police and rangers was deployed in the area keeping in view the tensions prevailing in the area.

Three persons died of gunshot wounds in Orangi Town’s Pathan colony area, Naziabad No 2 and in Dawood Goth near Baldia Town.

The body of a man who had been shot dead was recovered from Malir Town’s Aansu Goth area.

Moreover, a man’s body bearing torture marks was recovered from an area near Sohrab Goth’s Al-Asif Square. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital.

Three men were shot dead in Karachi’s Orangi Town, in separate incidents.

Another person was shot dead near Safoorah Chowk.

Moreover, assailants shot dead a man and a woman in the city’s Khokhrapar area.

On Jamshed Road in the city’s Jamshed Town, unknown gunmen attacked a trader who was shot dead.

In the city’s Landhi Town, assailants opened fire on a truck which led to the death of its driver.

Police claimed to have arrested six suspected target killers and the recovery of arms from them, in Quaidabad area.

East Zone Police claimed to have conducted various raids and arrested 31 suspects during the past 24 hours.

Those arrested included dacoits, murderers and members of drug mafia.

DIG Police (East) claimed to have recovered seven kilograms of Charas and 750 bottles of bootleg liquor from a raid on a drug den in Korangi Industrial area whereas arms and ammunition of different kinds were also recovered from those arrested.

Police also claimed to have foiled a dacoity attempt on vehicle transporting cattle in Sikhan village area, whereas the dacoits managed to flee during the encounter.
 
May the Soul Of Deceased Rest In Peace. I Hope the Culprits will be held and harsh punishment is meted out to them.

May the dead Rest in eternal peace , such waste off life. Same trends what we had last year for some reason july and august are te most murderous months out of all , again ramdhan approaching again killing & mayhem figures have gone over the roof.
 
Can someone please tell me why people are killing each other in Karachi ? Who is killing who ?

KARACHI: As the spate of unrest continues in the city, at least 16 people have been killed within 24 hours due to firing and other incidences of violence, Express News reported on Sunday.
An activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was killed at Safora Goth within the limits of Gulistan-e-Jauhar police station. Police officials said that the deceased identified as Shakeel aka Mamu, was sitting in front his house when two men riding on a motorcycle targeted him. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a personnel of the Pakistan Navy succumbed to his injuries during treatment at JPMC. He was injured near Natha Khan Goth within Shah Faisal Colony police station on Saturday night.
He was identified as Kamran Ali.
Police officials said that the incident took place when a group of criminals opened fire at the police mobile near Natha Khan Goth in which a police head constable, namely Ghulam Raza was killed while a Navy personnel who was passing from there was injured.
One person was shot to death in Malir whereas the body of one woman was recovered from Sohrab Goth.
Two men were killed in the Baloch Para area of Orangi Town whereas a gagged and bound body was recovered from Memon Goth.
Unknown assailaints killed Jaman Shah and his wife in Khokarapar No 4 after forcibly entering their residence.
In Orangi Town No 12, Syed Faisal Jamal, a Sindh High Court (SHC) employee, and Jamil Baloch of Baldia town were killed in separate incidents of firing.
Two tortured bodies were recovered from ditches in the Aaso Goth area of Malir and al Asif Square in Sohrab Goth.
A truck driver, Fatehullah in the Korangi Industrial Area and a man identified as Shiraz Memon were killed on Jamshed Road, both in incidents of firing.
Police and rangers arrested one robber in a search operation in the Hazara Chowk area of Natha Khan and a wanted criminal, Dada Baskar, was arrested from the Bakra Peeri area of Lyari.
 
On ethnic basis ? And why is this happening in Karachi and not lets say Lahore ?

Turf Wars... You can relate it with what happen in Mumabai in early 1990's when there were turf wars of Indian underworld.

Can someone please tell me why people are killing each other in Karachi ? Who is killing who ?
