Why only Karachi, Every coastal cities could get wiped if tsunami hits, Be it, Mumbai, Chennai, Karcahi, Cochin.......

I think there was a mock drill planned in India on tsunami couple of days from now......Such actions are good to improve the awareness among people and that gives an idea what to do and what not to....

Make earth-quake and tsunami resistant buildings like they do in Japan. Also make dykes and stuff. Karachi can also get attacked by a Kaiju and King Kong so beware.

Ok, two things I want to bring up in Karachi Tsunami scenario.

1) Karachi it'self is on the plate, and the tectonic plates in Arabian sea are in parallel to Karachi. Means more intensity will be on the otherside of the plates. So Karachi in case of even 9.0 Earth quake in front of yemen, will not cast major disaster in Karachi.

2) The distance between indian plate and Arabian is higher and both are moving away from each other so earth quake intensity 9 is highly unlikely.

Sir, this is not the excuse. Govt should have some kind of back up plan in case of natural disaster . We can not leave every thing on nature. Our recent flood tragedy is another example that what kind of ruler we got.

Let me give you a small example of people, recently 6 hrs before the floods came to kashmir the govt intimated the locals to move to higher ground, most ignored the warning, now the results are for all to see .
there is only a limited amount the govt can do mate.
