This is awful, what is wrong with people? It makes you sick to the stomach, that someone can do this to anyone, let alone a child. Is it a cultural thing?, please can someone help me understand more without taking offence?

Also unrelated but here in the U.K there has been backlash against the entire Asian community because of the actions of a select group of "Asian" males in Midlands and Northern England. Now I am not for a minute suggesting that it is only the Asian males carrying out these incidents, there have been reports of Roma, Eastern Europeans and native English doing the same, but not in such an organised fashion.

Sorry I went off on a tangent, to return to my original question, please help me understand why is it that it takes an appalling tragedy like this to encourage debate? And what will happen when the media have had their fill and the poor girl falls off the front pages and 5 o'clock news? The only people who will be left, will be the parents, left to pick up the pieces!

I'd like to see what the users who have nothing better to do than to make rape jokes about India all day will do in this case. Probably nothing, hell I wont even see them on this thread.

As for Rana Samaullah I'd like to see the same happen to him in public. Then we can blame him that he didn't care of himself. The people should be reminded that there were at least a dozen cases like these registered in Kasur alone last year and this pig incarnate made the same statement each time.
